What our Spring customers say about Sherpa:
“The pickup and delivery were very smooth. The driver called us and told me when he got delayed a little because of traffic. He texted me several times to tell me how far he was. He couldn’t drive up right to my house because of the trees that we have and he told me that he didn’t want to risk the cars getting scratched, which was very nice. I appreciated that. We found a place where it was open and he could pull up without causing damage to anything.”
“Communication with the driver was not too much, thank goodness, because I wouldn’t have wanted too much either. He called me when he was about an hour away, and then he called me when he arrived. Then, on the other end, he called my parents when he was about an hour away. He got there the night before, so he called my mom the next morning and my mom was able to go and pick it up that morning at her convenience.”
“I used Sherpa transport to help me out of a bad spot. I picked up a car at a dealership in Dallas Texas and started my 22 hr trip back home. I got as far a Little Rock Arkansas and at 11:30 hit one of Interstate 40’s famous Arkansas pot holes it must have been about 2 feet in diameter and at least 6″ deep. It ruined my tire and broke my 22″ rim. I tried the next day to find someone to fix my car, but nobody had a wheel and tire for my exotic (no spare in car).”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Spring Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Spring, TX. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for auto transport to Spring, TX. Enclosed trailers offer extra protection but cost about 50% more and may have longer delivery times.
- Location Accessibility: Spring’s proximity to Houston and major highways like I-45 and I-69 can help keep costs down. Rural pickups or deliveries may increase prices.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship to Spring due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Seasonal Factors: Spring’s mild winters may not significantly affect prices, but summer demand can increase costs. Hurricane season (June-November) might also impact shipping rates and availability.
- Timing Flexibility: Opting for a wider pickup window can reduce your car shipping costs to Spring, TX. Rush or guaranteed delivery dates typically come at a premium.
- Vehicle Condition: Inoperable vehicles cost more to ship to Spring as they require special equipment for loading and unloading.
Understanding these factors can help you estimate and potentially reduce your car shipping costs to or from Spring, TX. Spring Car Transport: Local Insights and Regulations
When relocating to or from Spring, TX, understanding local vehicle requirements and regulations is crucial for a smooth transition. Spring car shipping services can help you transport your vehicle, but there are several things to consider before and after your move.
First, if you’re moving to Spring, TX, you’ll need to register your vehicle with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles within 30 days of establishing residency. Texas requires an annual vehicle inspection, so be prepared to have your car checked for safety and emissions compliance. As for tolls, the Houston area uses the EZ TAG system. While you can keep your toll tag during auto transport, it’s advisable to remove it to avoid accidental charges.
When setting up utilities in Spring, you’ll find that electricity is deregulated, allowing you to choose your provider. Water services are typically managed by the local municipal utility district. For internet, major providers include Comcast, AT&T, and Spectrum. Don’t forget to update your voter registration and, if you have children, enroll them in the Spring Independent School District.
If you’re moving away from Spring, remember to:
- Forward your mail to your new address
- Cancel local memberships (gym, library, etc.)
- Notify your current utility providers
- Update your address with banks, employers, and government agencies
When using car shipping services to or from Spring, consider the local climate. Spring experiences hot, humid summers and mild winters. Inform your car shipping company about any weather concerns, especially during hurricane season (June to November).
Spring’s proximity to major highways like I-45 and the Grand Parkway (SH 99) makes it an accessible location for auto transport. When shipping a car to Spring, coordinate with your chosen car transport provider to determine the most convenient pickup or drop-off location, keeping in mind local traffic patterns and potential construction zones.
Spring, Texas Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from Spring?

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Spring?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Spring?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.

No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.

We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. - Summer Considerations: With temperatures often soaring above 90°F (32°C), protect your vehicle during car transport by using a sunshade under the windshield. Remove heat-sensitive items from the car to prevent melting or damage.

Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“I used Sherpa to move my BMW from VA to Texas. They gave me an exact quote and kept me informed throughout the entire process with email updates and reminders to make sure I knew what to do at drop off and pick up. Sherpa did all the leg work – making sure the transporter had insurance and a good record. Daylin (driver) from No Doubt Logistics was great to work with! My car arrived a day early without a scratch! I would totally use them again!”
“Communication with the driver was not too much, thank goodness, because I wouldn’t have wanted too much either. He called me when he was about an hour away, and then he called me when he arrived. Then, on the other end, he called my parents when he was about an hour away. He got there the night before, so he called my mom the next morning and my mom was able to go and pick it up that morning at her convenience. Overall, Sherpa was easy to book and there weren’t any surprises. Everything was very clear and straightforward and I’d use Sherpa again.”
“I looked at and talked to many different companies, and I would get my vehicle faster using Sherpa. I didn’t do expedited, but it was kind of expedited. The other companies had a four to six-day window where they would pick it up and then it was a four to six-day window when they would drop it off. That Friday, Sherpa was telling me that they would either pick it up on Monday or Tuesday. I didn’t have to pay the deposit until they got a driver. It was Friday when they got the driver. At that point, the driver contacted me and informed me that he would be able to pick up on Monday or Tuesday. He picked it up on Tuesday and he said that he would be dropping it off on Friday, but he ended up dropping it off on Thursday night because that was when he came home. The car’s condition was great. They had a piece of paper on the floor so that no dirt got on the floors. Sherpa’s cost was a little bit more expensive than everybody else is, but it was well worth it. The driver was courteous. He kept me informed all along the way. He brought it a day early. I was very satisfied.”
“I had my daughters car transported from SA, Texas to Idaho and Sherpa is THE BEST!!! Always friendly, informative, and TOP NOTCH customer service!!! The company that they got to transport the car was equally amazing! The gentleman from Horizon Carriers had excellent communication, showed up when he said he would, and was detailed in checking out the car. The car left TX on a Monday at about 9:45 pm and arrived in N. Idaho on Wednesday at about 3:45 pm! The carrier was friendly and customer service was excellent! The street where he picked up the car was too narrow for his truck, so he parked the truck, walked to the pick up address, checked out the car, filled out the BOL and drive by daughter’s car to the truck and loaded it! Great work Horizon Carriers and superb vetting process on the part of Sherpa Auto Transport for choosing only the best of the best for their customers! This was our first time transporting a car so we were nervous, but Sherpa made it a truly stress-free experience!!! Thank you for caring about your customers and putting their needs first!”
“I am truly grateful I found Sherpa Auto Transport. This was my first time arranging transportation and needless to say it was really overwhelming. I went online and found so many companies, but just had no idea how the process even worked. I contacted some and got quotes from a lot of them, but it was just frustrating because I wasn’t convinced by any. Of course, I read reviews and spoke with a few companies. Some of which were nice and other not so much. I just couldn’t decide which company to hire. What made up my mind was that Sherpa was the only one that actually took the time to explain how the process worked. They were extremely nice and patient with me. I needed to transport two vehicles from Texas to Florida in a very short period of time and not only were they able to find a driver, the price was reasonable. I also must say the driver was friendly and helped out with the inspection, he also kept in touch and delivered right on time as he promised. Felt confidant that my vehicles would arrive safe and they did. If I ever need car transport again I will book with Sherpa and I definitely recommend them!!”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Spring, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
