When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect North Richland Hills Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey from or to North Richland Hills, TX significantly impacts car shipping costs. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Vehicle Type: The size and weight of your car affect shipping prices. Larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks cost more to transport than compact cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Transport Method: Open carriers are the most common and affordable option for car shipping to or from North Richland Hills. Enclosed transport, while pricier, offers extra protection from weather and road debris, which can be beneficial during Texas’s hot summers or occasional storms.
- Seasonal Factors: Auto transport prices in North Richland Hills can fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months often see higher demand and prices, while winter might offer more competitive rates.
- Route Accessibility: North Richland Hills’s proximity to major highways like I-820 and SH 183 can help keep shipping costs down. However, if your pickup or delivery location is far from these main routes, it may increase the price.
- Timing and Flexibility: If you’re flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, you might secure better rates. Rush or guaranteed delivery services typically cost more.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to transport. If your car doesn’t run, expect to pay more for special equipment needed to load and unload it.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from North Richland Hills more effectively. What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. Door-to-door auto transport service is the epitome of convenience in vehicle shipping. At the time of booking your shipment, we will ask for your preferred pickup and delivery address. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.

Many Auto Transport companies try to tease customers with lower rates, only to surprise you with “hidden costs” later. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we do things differently. We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“The reviews that we read online as well as the pricing and the guarantees helped us decide on Sherpa. The car came newly washed, clean, and ready to go and the quote was final price too. Our experience with Sherpa transporting our car to North Richland Hills, Texas was excellent.”
“We were moving from Chicago land area to LA so I needed to ship my car. Sherpa picked up the car and we didn`t even 100% know where we were looking to move to yet. That was pretty interesting. I had to update them. We were dealing with two people and they were fine. They understood and were very easy to talk to. Someone then called and said they were with Sherpa and were picking up the car. They were great. It took four days from start to finish. They even came in a day early than they said. The driver would text me every time like where he was gonna be, where he`s at now, and when he was gonna get there. He texted me the day before saying he was going to be in the vicinity at around X amount of time. It was perfect. The driver knew where we are going and dropping off my car was super easy. He was at the mall and it was great because he said he might be running late. I was having dinner with friends. I told the driver to let me know when he got there and I would run out and give him my keys. He kept me in the loop the entire time. We had snow so that was an issue. It was the same thing going in. We had to go a little further but it was not a big deal. He was right on like what time to pick up so that was fine. My husband said the car was gonna come washed but it didn`t. The car arrived really dirty but that didn`t bother me. I just did that drive so I understood. I was driving from Chicago to here. I went through a windstorm or tornadoes through Oklahoma, snow and fall staff, and a sandstorm somewhere in Texas. It definitely was a lot of debris. On the whole, call direct and book Sherpa. It was a no-brainer. You put your stuff in and they come.”
“I had purchased a car from Texas and I needed it transported to me here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sherpa was within $100 of the typical cost to bring it up. There were some companies that advertised $400, which I know wouldn`t even cover the gas, so I didn`t even think about them. But from looking at reviews on people that have used Sherpa, I felt comfortable with them, so I went with them. Their service representative gave me a price, and I told him I had a price similar to that, but a little less. First, he gave me all of their credibility as far as how they go about their business, and then the insurance of the car. And if it would make a difference, they would offer a $100 card of return for that $100 difference, so I wouldn`t be paying any more. If there was a problem with the difference in cost once the car was on the trailer, they would pay the difference. It all worked out fine.”
“My daughter was moving from New Jersey to California. We had to use Sherpa, and it was an amazing experience. The last time she moved from Texas to New Jersey, we used a different transport and it was a nightmare. Her car got damaged and it was just off. They weren`t there when they said they were gonna be there. But as far as Sherpa, when they said they were gonna be there, they were there. They picked up the car when they said they would. They dropped it off when they said they would. The car was in the same condition that it left. Nothing happened to it. I would definitely use Sherpa again. If I decide to move across the country to California to be near my daughter, I would use Sherpa to transport my car.”
“I called Sherpa Auto Transport and I got somebody. It was a person who spoke English. That made me happy because I felt we were communicating. And we had a discussion. He told me how it all worked and how much it would cost. We talked about dates. And somehow they got back to me. They set it up. It was very smooth. They told me there would be a driver. Somebody said he would call. I got anxious about the whole thing. Because I`m in the middle of Manhattan. My car is in a garage. I can drive it where they need to. But how would I do it in the middle of Manhattan? The driver called me up and said, “I`ll be there in the blah, blah, minutes”. And I went over to the garage and got the car. And I thought, “What am I going to do? I`m going to have to park it somewhere. And then I`m gonna find a parking space.’ It ended up being nothing at all. So, I waited on 55th Street. Second Avenue goes from one end of Manhattan all the way down to the other end. It goes from north to south. And he said, “I`ll meet you at 54th in a second. I`ll have my transport there.” I drove over there. And there he was with the transport. He got out. And we looked at the car. We had a chit-chat about it. And he said, “All right. See you later.” He got in the car. Drove it on the transport. I turned around, took a picture of it and left. The driver was a sweetheart. He picked the car up on a Friday. And it was delivered on a Tuesday. Whoever did it in Texas was a different person than I talked to, who was the ultimate driver. He called her a half an hour. He said he was 10 miles out. But she didn`t answer the phone. So, the driver called me. And I called her. And he called her. She lives in Austin, Texas. She lives more out in the suburbs. And she said, he didn`t want to bring it on her street because there were too many trees. She said, “I just jogged over to the, you know. It wasn`t very far.” She sent me a thing and said, “There`s this little ding here.” I said, “Oh, that`s an old one.” There was nothing. And he gave her the keys. She signed it, she gave him the check, and that was that. It was very smooth. They had their stuff together. The car got there in no time. Sherpa was great. Everybody was professional. I would recommend them.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in North Richland Hills, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
