What our Humble customers say about Sherpa:
“Sherpa was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The driver was very polite, courteous, and prompt. He got here on time and called me. He dropped off the vehicle and it was fine. I was very happy with the service. It was my first-time experience transporting a vehicle. I did it online and Sherpa came back promptly with a good price. I would encourage people to use Sherpa. To drive the car would have cost me just as much money with hotel stays and gas. The stress would have been so much more too. Sherpa delivered the car right when they said they were going to deliver it to Humble.”
“The pick up and delivery was on time and well executed throughout the entire process! The contractor that was used MJ Auto Transport made sure that my fiancé was comfortable in trusting them with the vehicle. He was also very satisfied. The price was well worth it and no additional costs. I would recommend and use this company for auto transport services to Humble, TX.”
“I had a very good experience with Sherpa and Kate! Yes, I did pay for expedited service, but she got a carrier assigned the same day and saved the day! The car was picked up on January 4th in Texas and it arrived ahead of schedule in San Diego on January 7th. The service from Sherpa, Kate and Next Day, Inc was flawless. Thank you!”

Factors that affect Humble Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The farther your vehicle needs to travel, the higher the cost. Humble’s location near Houston can be advantageous for shipping to major cities along I-45 or I-10.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to or from Humble. Enclosed transport, while about 50% pricier, offers extra protection from Houston’s occasional severe weather.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, like trucks or SUVs popular in Texas, typically cost more to ship than standard cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Time of Year: Summer months and January often see higher car shipping prices due to increased demand. Humble’s mild winters can make off-season shipping more feasible.
- Fuel Prices: Fluctuations in fuel costs can affect auto transport rates. Humble’s proximity to major oil refineries might sometimes influence local fuel prices.
- Route Popularity: Shipping to or from Humble along busy routes like I-69 or US-59 may be more economical due to higher carrier availability.
- Vehicle Condition: Inoperable vehicles cost more to ship as they require special equipment. Ensure your car is in running condition to avoid extra fees.
- Delivery Timeframe: Expedited shipping will increase costs. Opting for a flexible pickup window can lead to more competitive rates for your Humble car shipping needs.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from Humble more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of car shipping costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. 4. Meet the carrier: Sherpa offers door-to-door service, so you’ll meet the carrier as close to your specified address as possible. In Humble, be aware that some residential areas may have restrictions for large trucks. You might need to arrange an alternative pickup location, such as a nearby parking lot.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Humble?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Humble?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to Humble?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.

We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. Planning your shipment a few weeks before or after these peak times can help ensure smoother, more cost-effective auto transport.
Reviews from our Texas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Texas customers:
“I was moving from Texas to Pennsylvania and I didn’t wanna do the drive. I looked into four companies and Sherpa gave me the most straightforward explanation of how things would work and what they would cost. They put the bid on who accepts it and I didn’t necessarily want the lowest bid to win in transporting my vehicle. It was a little scary for me in terms of I’ve never done it before so, my expectation on how it worked didn’t exist. I asked a lot of detailed questions and the customer service reps answered them all. But sometimes, there was a language barrier in terms of the person I was talking to. And it was a little hard to communicate. I got a phone call just before the pick-up time telling me when they were gonna pick up the vehicle and where to meet. And we did it. I got the same call on the reverse side to pick them up and they brought the vehicle within a five-minute walk of my house. And I picked it up.”
“I had a car with a blown engine and had to ship it from Driftwood, Texas to Deerfield Beach, Florida to get it repaired. The window for someone to pick up the contract was eight days and they picked it up in six days. It was one of those big transports with 10 cars on it and ours was the last one to go on. The driver texted us 40 minutes before he was gonna show up. He was a really nice guy. The engine had problems and we didn’t want it to be started and stopped too many times. He told us that he would locate it on the truck at his next stop where it would only have to be started that one time other than the drop-off point. He did that and it was a successful transport. He was fantastic. From our experience, Sherpa is dependable. We’re happy and we’re gonna use them to come back this way. The car is gonna be coming back in two months and I already have the contact at Sherpa to call them and schedule the pick-up.”
“I retained Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a SUV from TX to NJ. I opted for a flexible 5 day window pick up and open transport. They weren’t the cheapest but they weren’t the most expensive either. I went with them because they had a $100k cargo insurance and provided reimbursement for a car cleaning 2 weeks from drop off. The deposit and final payment was all relayed by credit card, which was convenient. After a deposit was made, they sent my order to dispatch to match with a driver. I made the initial order 2 weeks before pick up and was assigned a driver a few days before the start of my pick up window. The driver contacted me the night before pick up of their expected arrival time. When they arrived, we walked around the car to confer the condition of the vehicle and they took the vehicle to load onto their trailer. It took about a week and they had a local driver drop off at the destination who also walked through the condition of the car. It was nice, simple, easy, and they were communicative. Would definitely recommend and use again if necessary!”
“My father was getting rid of his truck and offered it to me. We needed to ship it from Texas up Washington where I live, and Sherpa was the cheapest way to do it. I called them directly and the rep, Tiffany, explained that sometimes when people bid on it, they’re just bidding for one way so the number that you see is one way. She explained that with Sherpa there are no additional fees. She also explained that most of them are brokers. Sherpa seemed the most transparent about their fees or how much the total would be. During the pick-up of the vehicle, my dad received a call and the driver wanted to come at 11:30 at night. He told the driver no so he came the next morning, which worked better for my dad’s schedule. The guy was nice. For the delivery, I received a call then half an hour later, the guy showed up at my door. I live on a pretty wide residential street, but he parked on the major street, brought the car and it was right there.”
“I had my daughters car transported from SA, Texas to Idaho and Sherpa is THE BEST!!! Always friendly, informative, and TOP NOTCH customer service!!! The company that they got to transport the car was equally amazing! The gentleman from Horizon Carriers had excellent communication, showed up when he said he would, and was detailed in checking out the car. The car left TX on a Monday at about 9:45 pm and arrived in N. Idaho on Wednesday at about 3:45 pm! The carrier was friendly and customer service was excellent! The street where he picked up the car was too narrow for his truck, so he parked the truck, walked to the pick up address, checked out the car, filled out the BOL and drive by daughter’s car to the truck and loaded it! Great work Horizon Carriers and superb vetting process on the part of Sherpa Auto Transport for choosing only the best of the best for their customers! This was our first time transporting a car so we were nervous, but Sherpa made it a truly stress-free experience!!! Thank you for caring about your customers and putting their needs first!”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Humble, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Texas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
