What our Stallings customers say about Sherpa:
“You can’t go wrong with Sherpa! I admit that I initially placed an order with a different company — two companies actually. Neither could find a driver to transport my brand new Genesis GV70 from NC to NV in an enclosed trailer. I even paid the first company in full, and six days later they hadn’t even tried to find a driver.”
“Definitely 5 stars. We shipped a car from Chapel Hill NC to Seattle WA. The professional staff at Sherpa had excellent customer service, gave clear information, the car transfer happened exactly as described, and the process seemed flawless. I know a lot of hard work goes into each car transfer, so it’s clear that their staff, processes, and systems are working very well.”
“It was a pleasure to do business with SHERPA, my car was picked up in NJ within the promised time and arrived at the SC destination on time and in the same condition without any damage or scratches. The Driver David was very nice and polite. Customer service was flawless, Felicia was wonderful and so nice to deal with and so was everyone else.”

Factors that affect Stallings Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The distance between Stallings, NC and your destination greatly affects car shipping costs. Longer distances typically result in higher prices, but the per-mile rate often decreases for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open trailers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to or from Stallings. Enclosed transport, while about 50% more expensive, offers extra protection from weather and road debris. This option is ideal for high-value or classic cars, especially during Stallings’ humid summers or occasional winter storms.
- Location Accessibility: Stallings’ proximity to Charlotte and major highways like I-485 can make pickup and delivery easier and more cost-effective. Rural areas further from these routes may incur additional fees.
- Vehicle Size and Weight: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than smaller cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Time of Year: Seasonal demand can affect car shipping prices in Stallings. Summer months and January often see higher rates due to increased relocation activity.
- Fuel Prices: Fluctuations in fuel costs can impact overall shipping rates, as carriers adjust their prices to maintain profitability.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to transport. Inoperable cars require special equipment for loading, increasing the cost.
- Delivery Timeframe: Expedited shipping options are available for those needing faster delivery to or from Stallings, but they come at a premium price.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping a car to or from Stallings, NC. Stallings, North Carolina Vehicle Transport FAQs

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Stallings?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.

No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?

Reviews from our North Carolina Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied North Carolina customers:
“You can’t go wrong with Sherpa! I admit that I initially placed an order with a different company — two companies actually. Neither could find a driver to transport my brand new Genesis GV70 from NC to NV in an enclosed trailer. I even paid the first company in full, and six days later they hadn’t even tried to find a driver. So eight days after buying a car in NC, I called Sherpa. The Sherpa rep explained the process of basically bidding for a space on a truck, and put me on hold while she looked up the current rate. To put it simply, with a low ball rate, the car is going to sit there. A more competitive rate will get it picked up quicker. I asked her point blank how quickly she thought she could find a driver. She said there was a 96% chance of picking up the car within 4 days. Because I placed the order before noon EDST, she was able to get the order posted that same day. Mind you, this was two days before the July 4th weekend, during a pandemic. Just over 24 hours later I received a call from Mavistar who had accepted the order. And 24 hours after that I received a personal text from the Mavistar driver who confirmed he had picked up my car and would be updating me on his progress as he drove across the country. This driver was AWESOME. He texted or called me every night and updated me on his ETA. Six days after I placed my order, my car was sitting in my driveway in pristine condition. You get what you pay for. If you want budget-level customer service, go with a different company. Sherpa prides itself on doing business the right way, and that they did! I couldn’t be happier with them.”
“I got quotes from many companies and while I found a couple of the largest ones to have good reviews on one site, they had very mixed reviews on Facebook or Yelp. This scared me away, which led me to Sherpa. Although it’s a new company, it had good reviews from multiple sources, and when I talked to an employee she was super knowledgeable and helpful. They were SUPER FAST at getting the car delivered, and this is without having to pay hundreds of dollars extra for a fast delivery. I thought the car was going to be ready a day later than it was, but when I found out it was ready earlier, I texted them at about 10 AM ET. They were able to get it picked up in NC that same afternoon, which was on a Thursday. I then got the car the following Wednesday in Southern California. They were also very professional, friendly, and communicative. Great experience!”
“Thank you so much for the fabulous experience we recently had transporting our car with Sherpa. Just as states starting closing down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our daughter’s car died. She is an ICU nurse at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore and would have taken the bus if the social distancing order was not in effect. We had an extra car for her to use in North Carolina but couldn’t get it to her because of the quarantine order in Maryland. When I explained our situation to Fern in your Charlotte office, she was extremely sympathetic and helpful. After three days without a driver taking our route, Sherpa waived its fee and offered its portion of the transport cost in order to give incentive to a driver to deliver our car. A driver was assigned that day, and our daughter received the car the following day. She was grateful beyond words, as were we. Thank you for working to protect our daughter as she is already on the frontline in healthcare. We have spread the word wherever we can about Sherpa’s willingness to look beyond the profit in order to help someone in need.”
“I used Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a Jeep from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX two weeks ago and was very pleased with their service. They were very easy to work with, kept in contact with me, followed up on any questions, picked up and delivered as scheduled, and were fairly priced. When the carrier Sherpa hired to transport my vehicle had not contact me as planned, I called Sherpa who immediately contacted the carrier, then followed up to see that the carrier had called me. At each stage of the process, Sherpa kept me up to date with emails as to the status of the transport. The driver for the carrier communicated with me on the days of pickup and delivery as to the specific time (within an hour) and location for pick-up and drop-off, as the truck was too large for some neighborhood streets. The driver also took good care loading, securing, and unloading my vehicle. I worked primarily with one contact at Sherpa for the entire process but when she wasn’t available her colleague addressed and followed up on my question quickly. I highly recommend that Sherpa Auto Transport be considered for any of your vehicle transport needs.”
“Used Sherpa to ship my son’s car from North Carolina to Seattle. They had a four day window to schedule a pick pick up. They did an exceptional work locating a carrier and emphasizing that the car must be picked up by a certain date. They kept me well informed about the progress. Mike from Sherpa called and emailed multiple times a day with updates. The car was picked up and delivered in less than a week. The carrier Diesel Auto Express were awesome as well. This was a great and smooth experience, they even pay to have your car washed. Highly recommend Sherpa.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Stallings, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of North Carolina. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
