What our Fuquay-Varina customers say about Sherpa:
“The experience with Sherpa Auto Transport was seamless and the price was fair. I picked the transport company based on their D&B. It was a local transport firm in Charlotte. We live on close to a waterway, south of the Cape Fear River, which is Wilmington, North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.”
“I was a bit nervous purchasing a car in California sight unseen and having it transported to North Carolina. I connected with Sherpa on-line to receive a quote and timing. I was pleasantly surprised to not only receive the quote in email but a phone call to review the quote and details.”
“I had a positive experience with Sherpa. If you are using a transport company please go into it knowing that it is a very aggressive industry. To get a quote you are required to provide your phone number and the various brokers, including Sherpa, will call and/or repeatedly until you tell them you’ve gone with someone else.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Fuquay-Varina Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The distance between Fuquay-Varina, NC and your destination greatly affects car shipping costs. Longer distances typically mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer journeys.
- Transport Type: Open trailers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to or from Fuquay-Varina. Enclosed transport, while about 50% more expensive, offers extra protection for high-value vehicles against weather and road debris.
- Location Accessibility: Fuquay-Varina’s proximity to major routes like I-40 and US-401 can help keep costs down. However, if you’re shipping to a more remote area, consider meeting the carrier in a larger nearby city to potentially save money.
- Seasonal Factors: Fuquay-Varina’s mild climate means car shipping is possible year-round. However, summer months and January tend to see higher prices due to increased demand. Spring and fall might offer more competitive rates.
- Vehicle Size and Condition: Larger or heavier vehicles cost more to ship. Also, inoperable cars require special equipment, increasing the price. Ensure your vehicle is in running condition to keep costs down.
- Flexibility: If you can be flexible with your pickup and delivery dates, you might secure better rates. Rush services for car transport to or from Fuquay-Varina will typically cost more.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from Fuquay-Varina more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of car shipping costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Fuquay-Varina?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

Reviews from our North Carolina Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied North Carolina customers:
“You can’t go wrong with Sherpa! I admit that I initially placed an order with a different company — two companies actually. Neither could find a driver to transport my brand new Genesis GV70 from NC to NV in an enclosed trailer. I even paid the first company in full, and six days later they hadn’t even tried to find a driver. So eight days after buying a car in NC, I called Sherpa. The Sherpa rep explained the process of basically bidding for a space on a truck, and put me on hold while she looked up the current rate. To put it simply, with a low ball rate, the car is going to sit there. A more competitive rate will get it picked up quicker. I asked her point blank how quickly she thought she could find a driver. She said there was a 96% chance of picking up the car within 4 days. Because I placed the order before noon EDST, she was able to get the order posted that same day. Mind you, this was two days before the July 4th weekend, during a pandemic. Just over 24 hours later I received a call from Mavistar who had accepted the order. And 24 hours after that I received a personal text from the Mavistar driver who confirmed he had picked up my car and would be updating me on his progress as he drove across the country. This driver was AWESOME. He texted or called me every night and updated me on his ETA. Six days after I placed my order, my car was sitting in my driveway in pristine condition. You get what you pay for. If you want budget-level customer service, go with a different company. Sherpa prides itself on doing business the right way, and that they did! I couldn’t be happier with them.”
“I used Sherpa Auto Transport to transport a Jeep from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX two weeks ago and was very pleased with their service. They were very easy to work with, kept in contact with me, followed up on any questions, picked up and delivered as scheduled, and were fairly priced. When the carrier Sherpa hired to transport my vehicle had not contact me as planned, I called Sherpa who immediately contacted the carrier, then followed up to see that the carrier had called me. At each stage of the process, Sherpa kept me up to date with emails as to the status of the transport. The driver for the carrier communicated with me on the days of pickup and delivery as to the specific time (within an hour) and location for pick-up and drop-off, as the truck was too large for some neighborhood streets. The driver also took good care loading, securing, and unloading my vehicle. I worked primarily with one contact at Sherpa for the entire process but when she wasn’t available her colleague addressed and followed up on my question quickly. I highly recommend that Sherpa Auto Transport be considered for any of your vehicle transport needs.”
“Used Sherpa to ship my son’s car from North Carolina to Seattle. They had a four day window to schedule a pick pick up. They did an exceptional work locating a carrier and emphasizing that the car must be picked up by a certain date. They kept me well informed about the progress. Mike from Sherpa called and emailed multiple times a day with updates. The car was picked up and delivered in less than a week. The carrier Diesel Auto Express were awesome as well. This was a great and smooth experience, they even pay to have your car washed. Highly recommend Sherpa.”
“Definitely 5 stars. We shipped a car from Chapel Hill NC to Seattle WA. The professional staff at Sherpa had excellent customer service, gave clear information, the car transfer happened exactly as described, and the process seemed flawless. I know a lot of hard work goes into each car transfer, so it’s clear that their staff, processes, and systems are working very well. I will be telling anyone who asks about car transport companies that Sherpa is definitely the company to contact when you need to ship a car anywhere in the country.”
“For my 1st time shipping my car I had a great and easy experience. I moved from CA to NC and scheduled my shipment maybe 3 weeks to 1 month in advance. The company provided me with my actual drivers contact information, and he was very attentive to my needs and communicated projected pick up dates. He allowed me to fill the car, trunk and inside as long as nothing was visible over window lines. The day of drop off, the only negative was the time kept changing and it was tough having to be in a specific area to wait for him. The drop off was about 3 hours after expected, but my driver agreed to change locations to meet me where ever I’d be. The car was in original condition,, no issues. Would use again, if needed to. Company also offered a free car was and give a small rebate for booking online.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Fuquay-Varina, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of North Carolina. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
