What our North Mankato customers say about Sherpa:
“My experience with Sherpa was excellent. I booked online for Minnesota to las vegas on Friday 24 May(during memorial day weekend), understandable that they can`t confirm the carrier during the holiday. Then as soon as holiday ends, on Tuesday 28 May morning before 9am, receive call from Sherpa they found a carrier and can pick up tomorrow (29 May) for my car”
“My Honda CRV went from South Carolina to Minnesota. I don’t like to pay that much, but Sherpa’s quote was fair. I sent the car to my daughter who’s 22, and the driver was close to the same age. Sometimes we get images in our head of gruff, old truck drivers, but this driver was the sweetest, nicest young man.”
“Everyone has different experiences I suppose but Mine was absolutely flawless. Moved to MN from CA, I picked a closed transport- their price is higher that other companies I looked at but there is a reason for that. THEY ARE RELIABLE. Talking to them via email- they respond so darn fast.”

Factors that affect North Mankato Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The distance between North Mankato, MN and your destination significantly impacts car shipping costs. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer journeys.
- Vehicle Size: Larger vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than smaller cars due to the space they occupy on the transport trailer.
- Transport Type: Open transport is the most common and affordable option for car shipping to or from North Mankato. Enclosed transport offers extra protection but costs about 50% more and may have longer delivery times.
- Season: Car shipping prices in North Mankato can fluctuate with the seasons. Winter months may see higher rates due to challenging weather conditions, while summer can be busier with more demand.
- Route Accessibility: North Mankato’s proximity to major highways like US-14 and MN-60 can help keep costs down. However, if your destination is in a less accessible area, it may increase the price.
- Delivery Timeframe: Flexible pickup and delivery dates often result in lower prices. Expedited shipping for urgent auto transport needs will increase the cost.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to ship. Non-running cars require special equipment, increasing the auto transport cost.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping a car to or from North Mankato, MN. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your car shipment at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles from North Mankato, MN.
- Choose open transport: Open shipping is typically more cost-effective than enclosed transport. It offers greater flexibility for negotiating lower prices while still providing reliable car shipping services.
- Optimize pickup/dropoff locations: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find convenient locations near major highways like US-169 or US-14. This can reduce fuel costs for carriers, potentially lowering your overall car transport expenses.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and eliminates concerns about item safety during transport.
- Be flexible with dates: Offering carriers a range of pickup and delivery dates can help you secure better rates for your North Mankato car shipping needs. Consider weekday transport options, which may be less expensive than weekend services.
- Consider terminal-to-terminal alternatives: While Sherpa Auto Transport specializes in door-to-door service, discussing nearby accessible locations with your advisor can sometimes yield cost savings for your auto transport.

Reviews from our Minnesota Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Minnesota customers:
“My girlfriend was moving from Minneapolis to Phoenix and we were shipping a Jag XJL. We looked into five shipping companies before choosing Sherpa, which was the highest-rated. The gal that I spoke to the first day was awesome. We spoke about five times over the ensuing three days and she was very helpful. She gave me a lot of information and several different quotes, and was very accommodating. Their price was a little higher than two of the other ones, but Sherpa was worth it. The delivery was fantastic. First of all, they gave us the estimated delivery date. The driver also called to ask me the day before if it was okay that he would be there between 9:00 and noon. And I said sure. I’m a surgeon and unfortunately I wound up with an emergency operation scheduled on that day. I called him back on his phone at about 6 o’clock at night to tell him I got an emergency appointment that came up and if there was any way he could deliver it later. I told him I won’t be in until around 11:30 pm. He came probably about 1:00 AM. There was no traffic and there was no one on the street. It was very easy to get the car unloaded. They did a fantastic job. The car’s condition was perfect, not a mark on it. The quality of the service that I got was unequalled, and I wound up giving the driver a nice, big tip as well because of his ability to accommodate me in the delivery. I was very happy with the service. They made it very painless and they were very helpful. The whole thing went very smoothly and I’ve given their name to two other people for vehicle transport the last two weeks.”
“Sherpa was highly rated and the individual that I ended up speaking with when I was making arrangements was very professional, courteous and not pushy. They notified me of when the things would happen, usually by text or voice mail, and it was always good information and helpful. The quote was a little higher than some of the others, but the rating was what reassured me. The representative explained that the quote included a cushion for the company because they couldn’t predict what they would have to pay a shipper or a trucker so that I was protected from getting a quote and then having it go up when they were loading the car. Some places gave me quotes that were lower but having read some reviews, it could go up and it might be at the last minute when you are ready to have the transaction happen. The car was the same as when the driver picked it up. I remembered from the reviews of Sherpa that the cars are washed before they’re delivered, which would be nice. And the car was not washed. But it didn’t bother me when it didn’t happen. It was nice to be able to work with a company where I have confidence in what they did. The driver was very good with his communication and the car arrived a day earlier than we thought it might. And that was a plus, because I was already here in Minnesota. It was painless contacting Sherpa. They were informative and courteous. And the whole process went smoothly.”
“I was transferring a car from my grandpa to myself, and I saw Sherpa on Forbes as one of the top transfer companies. Setting up the transport was outstanding, very straightforward and transparent. Customer support was really good. The rep, Marvin, had an open line and let me call him whenever I needed to. The car was picked up in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and dropped off in South Carolina. They picked it up on that Thursday, and the guy they contracted with was great. He let me text him whenever I needed to, and he was very straightforward. And he got to South Carolina in about two days so I was worried he wasn’t sleeping too much. They were very meticulous about the car. And that was one of the worries I had going into it. And there were no scratch marks, and it looked just as good as when we had it picked up.”
“We had our daughter’s car shipped by Sherpa from Minnesota to Arizona. I live in a cul-de-sac so the driver couldn’t get down, so I drove down the road and met him, and it was perfect. He let me know he was on his way. When he got there, he had told me exactly where he was. He walked around the car and he had a little notepad. He did a good inspection on it before he put it on the bed of the truck. The car was going to my in-law’s house and it got there faster than I thought it would be. The Sherpa rep told me, “This is your bottom line. I’m not gonna call and ask you for more money.” He explained how that worked, and he explained everything to me. So, I went with that because I didn’t want any unexpected charges. The quote was bottom line and that was exactly what it was.”
“Sherpa found a shipper, and the car was transported from Arizona to Minnesota. A crack developed on the windshield of the car, and Sherpa’s sub-contractor specifically said they didn’t cover any glass damage. Sherpa reimbursed me for the entire amount of my insurance deductible plus the recommended change of the windshield wiper blades. So my out of pocket was zero.”

About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers.
