What our Junction City customers say about Sherpa:
“This was my first time ever shipping a car and it was a great experience! Will with Sherpa answered every question I had, was quick to respond to all of my questions, and even gave me some questions to ask other car transport companies while I was researching companies. I ultimately came back to Sherpa. I also appreciated the price lock guarantee. I booked the car transport late Friday, and Will followed up the next day with me to confirm the details. I had no set schedule for when I needed the car delivered, but they found a driver right away. My car was picked up in Kansas City on Monday evening and delivered Wednesday night to my home in California in perfect shape.”
“Online, it says Sherpa is the best one to go with. So, I got some confidence in going with Sherpa. My experience was great. The vehicle was picked up from Overland Park, Kansas to Early, Texas. Within overnight, the vehicle came. As soon as they picked up, they started coming to Texas and then they transported very quickly. The next day morning at 6:00 am, I got the call saying, “We are ready to deliver it.””
“I decided to ship my 1987 BMW convertible from Kansas to Los Angeles rather than drive it there. My first time to ship a car so I called several transporting companies that I found on the internet. I chose Sherpa and it was a good choice! They found a driver coming to Kansas within two days and picked up the car three days after that. The driver was very conscientious and careful pointing out small defects in my car.”

Factors that affect Junction City Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Junction City, KS. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, as fuel and labor costs increase.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for auto transport to Junction City. Enclosed trailers offer extra protection but are about 50% more expensive and may take longer for delivery.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship to Junction City due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Seasonal Factors: Car shipping prices to Junction City may fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months often see higher demand and prices, while winter weather in Kansas can affect transport times and costs.
- Location Accessibility: Junction City’s proximity to I-70 makes it relatively accessible for auto transport. However, if you’re shipping to or from more remote areas in Kansas, it may impact the cost.
- Timing Flexibility: Opting for a wider pickup window can often result in lower car shipping costs to Junction City. Rush or guaranteed delivery dates typically come at a premium.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are easier and cheaper to transport. Inoperable cars require special equipment, increasing the cost of shipping to Junction City.
Understanding these factors can help you estimate and potentially reduce your car shipping costs to or from Junction City, KS. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your car shipment at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for multiple pickups in Junction City, KS.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open shipping to get the lowest rates. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost savings.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa advisers to find locations near major interstates like I-70, which runs through Junction City. This can help reduce fuel costs for carriers.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and potential liability issues.
- Be flexible: Offer a range of pickup and delivery dates. The more flexible you are, the better options you’ll have for car shipping services.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak moving seasons like summer when demand for auto transport is high. Shipping your car during off-peak times may result in lower rates.
- Prepare your vehicle: Ensure your car is in good running condition. A well-maintained vehicle is easier to load and unload, potentially reducing handling costs.

Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Junction City?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.

Reviews from our Kansas Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Kansas customers:
“I bought a car out on the East Coast and I needed to get back here to Kansas. I read a review on Sherpa and that convinced me to go with them over everybody else. Customer service did good. They answered all my questions and were super concerned about getting it right and getting somebody. Sherpa is nothing more than a load broker. I`m a little bit on the inside of it. My business is not that much different than what they do. I understand most of these load brokers. I really have a high degree of skepticism against these load brokers because I deal with them in my own business and they`re just a bunch of snakes. Once they have your freight, you`re a hostage and you can`t do anything about it. I was trying to really do my due diligence. Sherpa`s representative really gave me a good hype and comfort level that they were gonna do their part. But they have no control over who they line up to pick up my load. All they`re doing is brokering it and they make 300 bucks in the middle, which is fine. I`m sure they have some sort of a vetting process that they try and do when they`re dealing with their carriers. But as far as Sherpa`s end of the deal, they went above and beyond. The transport company`s communication was good. But there were some issues. When the car showed up, there was some damage on it that wasn`t noted on the bill of lading. Sherpa was super thorough about making sure pictures were taken. The bill of lading is extraordinarily detailed. They noted things that I couldn`t even see. Some of the damagers, however, that I could see were not noted. I pointed that out to the driver and he wanted to fight me over the whole thing. He was not even open to a conversation that perhaps that damage could have occurred in transit. He wouldn`t listen and accused me of not wanting to pay him. I ended up paying him. I was like, “Well, what are we gonna do, a fistfight in the parking lot?” I was trying to take the high road. One other thing that I discovered was the seller of the car put the license plate, the registration, and the proof of insurance inside the car when he sent it. He laid it inside the cabin of the car. When I got the car, none of that stuff was present. The seller could have somehow overlooked, But I 100% trust this guy as I know him and we`ve done business for 30 years. They have no motivation to do anything other than what he said. But it was there and then it wasn`t. In order to get a new license plate it, I had to go to my police station. My guess is somebody between here and New Hampshire is driving around with my license plate on a different car. I can`t prove that though. Given this and the issue with the damage, these kind of things add up to maybe this driver needs a little more scrutiny. I made Sherpa aware of the driver issue and I followed up and told them about the missing license plate, a registration, and a proof of insurance that was in the car. They never responded to that one. Other than that, Sherpa did everything they were supposed to.”
“I used this company to transport my car from Kansas to Florida. I was very skeptical going into this process, but SHERPA did exactly what they said they were going to do. They found a company for the price they quoted me, I paid exactly what I was expected to pay and my car arrived on time and in perfect condition. I highly recommend this company to anyone especially if you don’t know which company to trust.”
“Moving my car from Kansas City to Seattle, Washington was quick. The truck was in Kansas City before I was. They waited until I arrived to load the car. It took them two days to travel 1800 miles. The car was delivered unmarred at 7:00 AM.”
“We had a great experience with Sherpa and the transport company. Picked up and delivered across country from WA State to Kansas. No issues and the communication was excellent.”
“I like that Sherpa guaranteed the transport within five days or they gave you $300 towards it. The driver kept in touch with me. He called me when he was gonna get to the delivery point. He called me when he was two hours out and texted me when he was a half an hour out, that way I could leave work. The vehicle got delivered right to my door. It was clean for traveling as far as it did. They give you a $20 voucher towards car wash if you send in a receipt. That was another thing that I liked. Sherpa was excellent. I`d use them again.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Junction City, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Kansas. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
