Note: These figures reflect the past 12 months of Sherpa Auto Transport’s vehicle shipments to or from Fayetteville, GA. When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Fayetteville Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Fayetteville, GA. Longer distances generally mean higher prices. For example, shipping a car from Fayetteville to Miami will cost less than transporting it to Los Angeles.
- Vehicle Type: The size and weight of your vehicle affect the price. Larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks cost more to ship than compact cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Transport Method: Open transport is the most common and affordable option for car shipping to Fayetteville. Enclosed transport, while offering more protection, is typically 50% more expensive and may have longer delivery times.
- Season: Auto transport prices in Fayetteville can fluctuate based on the time of year. Summer months and January often see higher rates due to increased demand. Consider the mild climate of Fayetteville when planning your shipment.
- Route Popularity: Fayetteville’s proximity to Atlanta and major highways like I-85 and I-75 can affect pricing. More frequent routes often have competitive rates due to higher carrier availability.
- Delivery Timeframe: If you need expedited shipping to or from Fayetteville, expect to pay more. Standard delivery windows are more cost-effective but require flexibility.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are cheaper to transport as they can be easily loaded. Inoperable cars require special equipment, increasing the cost.
- Pickup and Delivery Locations: Terminal-to-terminal shipping is often cheaper than door-to-door service. However, Fayetteville’s suburban setting may influence the availability of nearby terminals.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from Fayetteville more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of car shipping costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Fayetteville car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open car shipping to get the lowest rates. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost savings.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa advisors to find locations near major highways like I-85 or GA-54. This can reduce fuel costs and potentially lower your auto transport price.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and eliminates concerns about item safety during transport.
- Be flexible: Offer date ranges for pickup and delivery. The more flexible you are, the more options you’ll have for cost-effective car shipping services to or from Fayetteville, GA.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak moving seasons like summer. Shipping a car during off-peak times can result in better rates for your Fayetteville auto transport.

Fayetteville, Georgia Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from Fayetteville?
See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for details about how to prepare your vehicle to / from Fayetteville. In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Fayetteville?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Fayetteville?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to Fayetteville?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card at the time a carrier is secured.
We also allow you to pay for your Initial Payment via credit or debit card and then pay the outstanding balance on delivery day via cash or a certified check made out to the carrier.
Can I pack personal items inside my vehicle?
Your Sherpa shipment includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. Yes. It is important that you, or another adult that you trust, is there for pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.
What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.
How are you different from other Car Shipping Companies?
Many Auto Transport companies try to tease customers with lower rates, only to surprise you with “hidden costs” later. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we do things differently. We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. Reviews from our Georgia Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Georgia customers:
“I was doing an internship and in the summer I needed to get back to my school, so I needed to have my vehicle shipped. I considered seven transport companies and the cost of Sherpa`s service made me go with them. They shipped my car 1,800 miles and the experience was good. I sent my request for shipping and their reps called me back in an hour. In the very first call we had, I explained my situation and the server said that since I was making an emergency request, they had to charge me 120 bucks for a service fee. But I understood and that was fine because initially they provided the cheapest price among the transport companies I had talked to. The reps said that they were gonna arrange the whole transport and find a driver for me, and they`d call me as soon as possible. The transport was a little rushed since I only gave Sherpa 48 hours to do the transport and the reps said they would try their best. They made it so it was perfect. The location put in was accurate, but the driver used a huge truck so he couldn`t park and take the vehicle off my apartment. So, he found a plaza near to my place and we met there. I was so surprised that the driver only used 72 hours or three days to ship my vehicle. Then, upon its arrival, everything was fine with its condition.”
“The rep that I talked to was great. He contacted me soon after I put in a request for a bid. He called me back pretty quickly and gave me a detailed rundown of what it would cost and what the process was and did a lot of follow-up. Sherpa was great. They were better than some of the other companies that I reached out to. The driver was nice. They`re independent contractors. He showed up kind of late in the evening, but he was good. He knew what he was doing. The LLC company that did the actual shipment was also nice. I sent a cashier`s check but they wanted to do the cash on the other side, so I had to send a cashier`s check from my bank account across to Fayetteville in, and the truck got caught in snowstorms. So, it wasn`t gonna get there in time. But they worked with me and I did Zelle transfers to them and that worked out fine. When I had this issue with the check, I would leave a message and Sherpa always called me back. So they were great to work with. I was very happy dealing with them.”
“I spoke to Darren, a smart and thoughtful guy who talked me through the process. He pitched a product that was not too good to be true. The price was reasonable and it did not change. The company who picked up the vehicle and dropped it off was professional, quick, and efficient. I had an odd situation where I had to swap two vehicles from coast to coast (NC to CA and back). We were actually able to do a direct swap within a shorter amount of time than I expected. No complaints.”
“The quote from Sherpa was reasonable and I had a great pick-up and delivery. The guy that they sent was awesome. He was reasonable to work with an very communicative. He was professional, well-knowledgeable with what he was doing and a good people person. So, he was good to go. I recommended that Sherpa send a lot of work his way.”
“The driver I got was very professional and was really nice. He kept in touch and was really good. I would definitely use him again. Sherpa had great customer service overall and I had a wonderful experience. It was headache-free.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Fayetteville, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Georgia. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
