What our Conyers customers say about Sherpa:
“I am highly satisfied with my experience with Sherpa Auto Transport. I shipped two cars from Northern California to the East coast. Everything was great from the scheduling to pickup and delivery. The cars a Porsche and Mercedes were received in the same condition as shipped. Communication with the company and drivers was great. You can’t go wrong using their service.”
“Communication from our scheduling to speaking directly with the driver thru delivery was professional, honest and reasonably priced! Thank you for delivering our car in pristine condition to Conyers. Referral worthy!”
“I was shipping my car from California to Georgia and all of the car brokers I experienced were trying to scam me by offering a low upfront cost and then the day before pick up say they had an issue with a driver and I need to pay more. I called Sherpa and they told me that this is a common scam in the transport business and reassured me that while the price they offered me is high, it will remain the price with no surprises.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Conyers Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Conyers, GA. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, as fuel costs and driver time increase.
- Vehicle Type: The size and weight of your car affect shipping rates. Larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks cost more to transport than compact cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Transport Method: Open carriers are the most common and affordable option for car shipping to Conyers. Enclosed transport, while offering extra protection, is typically 50% more expensive and may have longer delivery times.
- Season: Auto transport prices in Conyers can fluctuate with the seasons. Summer months often see higher demand and prices, while winter might offer more competitive rates, except during holidays.
- Route Popularity: Shipping to or from Conyers, located near I-20, can be more affordable due to its proximity to major highways. This accessibility makes it easier for carriers to include Conyers in their routes.
- Delivery Timeframe: Flexible pickup and delivery dates can lead to lower costs. Expedited shipping for urgent transport needs will increase the price.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are cheaper to ship as they can be easily loaded. Non-running cars require special equipment, increasing the cost.
Understanding these factors can help you plan your car shipping to or from Conyers more effectively. For a detailed breakdown of car shipping costs, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Conyers car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundled pickups along I-20 or nearby Atlanta.
- Choose open transport: Open car shipping is the most cost-effective option for auto transport to or from Conyers, GA. It offers greater flexibility and lower rates compared to enclosed carriers.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find convenient locations near major highways like I-20 or GA-138. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible: Offering date flexibility for pickup and delivery can lead to better pricing options. Consider adjusting your schedule to align with carrier availability in the Conyers area.
- Opt for terminal-to-terminal: While Sherpa doesn’t offer this service, it’s worth noting that door-to-door shipping in Conyers might be more convenient but potentially pricier.
- Consider seasonality: Auto transport rates can fluctuate based on demand. If possible, avoid peak moving seasons for better pricing when shipping a car to or from Conyers.

In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Conyers?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Conyers?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.

No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. Reviews from our Georgia Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Georgia customers:
“We were moving from Georgia to Arizona and we had made arrangements with family to transport. At the last minute, we had to get a second moving truck, which took away one of our drivers, so the only option left was to ship one of the vehicles. So, we decided which vehicle to ship. I had reached out in the beginning of the moving planning, to see, in the event that I used a moving company to do this instead of a self-move, what would be the cost to transport cars. So, at that point, I had contacted Sherpa based on their reviews that I read and they had given me an estimate, so I had a good feeling for how much extra it was going to cost us with that. I called Sherpa and they reactivated the bid and even though it was some weeks later, they gave us the original price that they had quoted us. It was seamless. We made arrangements, paid our deposit and left the car with some friends because all of this was last minute and Sherpa gave us a pickup window of several days. They notified the friends when the driver was coming to pick up the vehicle. They took pictures. It was very well done and they came super fast. I was surprised. It was two and a half days, maybe, to transport from Jonesboro, Georgia, which is a suburb of Atlanta, all the way out here to Gilbert, Arizona, which is a suburb of the Phoenix Metro area. It all went off smoothly. The guy called me and I made arrangements. I got my cashier’s check in hand. The guy called me and said that he would be here the next day at such and such time. He drove right up outside, dropped my car and we did our business. Sherpa was good. I’ve never used an auto transport before but my sons do restoration work with autos, so they worked with them before. I didn’t realize how important it is to get a reputable company to work with when you’re doing auto transport, because sometimes they’ve quoted a price and you go to pick up your vehicle and suddenly there’s more money. So, it’s almost like they’re renting you your car back to you. But I had absolutely none of that. It was as professional as I expected it to be and then some.”
“Even though Sherpa were a bit more expensive, the insurance was a lot better. I did email, text and phone so it was easy contacting them. I was there for the shipping and my sister received the car. She told me everything went good. I took pictures and video, and I sent it to my sister just in case. I also helped the guy identify where things were on the car. So, she was okay. The only concern that I had was I did not find out until a week before that Sherpa accepted cashier’s check, but because my bank is online, it would take a week for them to submit it. Seeing that everything was last minute, my sister had a local bank. So, she just did the cashier’s check with that bank, hand carried it and gave it to the driver. I assumed everything is online, no card. Apart from that, everything was great.”
“EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! After searching for numerous auto transport companies to transport a vehicle from Georgia to California, I decided to go with Sherpa. I was in contact with Dylan throughout the entire process from the beginning of the quote until pick up day. He managed to schedule within a weeks notice without any issues. The quote never changed, not like other companies kept giving me a different rate each time I called. Car arrived within the time frame provided. I will definitely use them again.”
“After reading so many horrible reviews about so many different companies out there. I am so happy to say Sherpa Auto Transport made shipping my car so effortless. When you go online to get your first quote, I was bombarded with so many different companies trying to lowball you and trying to get your business. There are so many shady companies out there, please please please read the reviews before book. I sought out Sherpa Transport after reading their reviews on BBB, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. My car was shipped from ATL to Washington state. They called me confirming everything. If I had any questions, their customer service was great. I would definitely ship my car again through this company.”
“Loved this company for my AZ to GA car transport! Decided to use Sherpa Auto Transport since the reviews were great. Started the online process and got my quote right then and there, which was valid for a day or 2. Pricing was super competitive and they offered a rebate (currently still waiting for that) but the process was super simple! Sherpa called me the week of my move and confirmed they had a carrier. The entire process was smooth from the signing up, to pick up and car drop off. And I like how they reimbursed for a car wash! I would definitely use this company again.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Conyers, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Georgia. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
