What our North Miami customers say about Sherpa:
“I started getting literally dozens of calls/emails/emails after I put out a need for a shipper…I guess it`s a cut throat business!! Anyways, I was getting prices from $1300 to $2300 from San Francisco to Miami and it was pretty confusing so I decided to read the reviews and went with Sherpa since it was 5 star rated and had good reviews. Price was $1650, no fees upfront other than $50 AFTER the shipper was confirmed.”
“Sherpa had the price guaranteed option. So at delivery, if the person asked for more money, Sherpa would cover that. The transport was very quick, smooth, and direct. The process took within one week. They picked the car up directly at my apartment in Miami and they dropped it off exactly in front of the apartment in Maryland. The driver was very respectful.”
“Sherpa told me a price at the beginning, and they didn`t change the quote. I also received my car the day that I wanted and the driver was on time. Everything was good.”

Note: These figures reflect the past 12 months of Sherpa Auto Transport’s vehicle shipments to or from North Miami, FL. When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect North Miami Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey greatly impacts car shipping costs to or from North Miami, FL. Longer distances typically mean higher prices, but per-mile rates often decrease for longer trips.
- Vehicle Type: The size and weight of your car affect shipping rates. Larger vehicles like SUVs or trucks cost more to transport than compact cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Transport Method: Open transport is the most common and affordable option for car shipping to North Miami. Enclosed transport, while pricier, offers extra protection from weather and road debris, ideal for luxury or classic cars.
- Season: Auto transport rates fluctuate seasonally. Summer months and January tend to be busier and more expensive for car shipping in North Miami, FL, due to snowbirds and vacation travel.
- Route Popularity: North Miami’s location near major highways like I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike can affect prices. Popular routes often have lower rates due to higher carrier availability.
- Delivery Timeframe: Expedited shipping to or from North Miami will cost more than standard delivery options. Flexible pickup and delivery dates can help reduce costs.
- Vehicle Condition: Inoperable vehicles cost more to ship to North Miami as they require special equipment for loading and unloading.
Understanding these factors can help you estimate your car shipping costs to or from North Miami, FL. For a more detailed breakdown of pricing factors, check out our car shipping calculator guide. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your North Miami car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open car shipping to get the lowest rates. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost-saving opportunities.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find locations near major highways like I-95 or Florida’s Turnpike. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items from your car before shipping. This reduces weight and potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible: Offer a range of pickup and delivery dates. The more flexible you are, the better chances of securing a cost-effective auto transport option. Consider adjusting your schedule to align with carriers’ existing routes through North Miami, FL.
- Consider seasonal timing: If possible, avoid peak seasons like summer and holidays when shipping a car to or from North Miami. Off-peak periods often come with lower rates and more carrier availability.

1. Get an Instant Quote: Start by obtaining a free quote from a reputable auto transport company like Sherpa Auto Transport. This will give you an idea of the cost based on factors such as your vehicle type and the specific North Miami locations involved.
2. Book Your Shipment: Once you’re satisfied with the quote, lock in your shipment. Remember, with Sherpa’s Price Lock Promise, your quote is guaranteed.

6. Receive Your Vehicle: Upon delivery, inspect your car thoroughly. The intense Florida sun can sometimes highlight imperfections, so take your time during this final check.
Remember, shipping a car to or from North Miami doesn’t have to be stressful. By choosing a reliable car transport service and following these steps, you can ensure your vehicle arrives safely at its destination, whether you’re moving to enjoy North Miami’s beautiful beaches or relocating to another part of the country.
North Miami Car Transport: Local Insights and Regulations
When planning your car shipping to or from North Miami, FL, it’s essential to understand local regulations and prepare for your move. North Miami’s tropical climate means your car may be exposed to intense sun and occasional hurricanes during transport. Choose a reputable car shipping company that offers enclosed transport options for added protection. When selecting an auto transport service, ensure they’re familiar with North Miami’s major routes, including I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, for efficient delivery.

North Miami, Florida Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from North Miami?
See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for details about how to prepare your vehicle to / from North Miami. In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from North Miami?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from North Miami?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to North Miami?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card at the time a carrier is secured.
We also allow you to pay for your Initial Payment via credit or debit card and then pay the outstanding balance on delivery day via cash or a certified check made out to the carrier.
Can I pack personal items inside my vehicle?
Your Sherpa shipment includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. Sherpa and your assigned carrier cannot be responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle. See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for more details.
Do I need to be present at both pickup and delivery?
Yes. It is important that you, or another adult that you trust, is there for pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.
What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. The primary reason for choosing enclosed auto transport is when you have a high value vehicle like a classic car or a custom paint job that can’t afford the risk of wayward debris on the road. See our open vs enclosed auto transport guide for more details.
Do you offer Door-To-Door Auto Transport Service?
Door-to-door auto transport service is the epitome of convenience in vehicle shipping. At the time of booking your shipment, we will ask for your preferred pickup and delivery address. As long as it is possible, the assigned carrier will pick up and deliver your vehicle to the addresses you specify. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.
How are you different from other Car Shipping Companies?
Many Auto Transport companies try to tease customers with lower rates, only to surprise you with “hidden costs” later. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we do things differently. We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. We can ship both operable and inoperable vehicles so long as the vehicle can roll, brake, and steer, and that you can provide the carrier with a key to the vehicle. Reviews from our Florida Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Florida customers:
“My fiancée is a wizard when it comes to doing her due diligence and finding the best companies and reading reviews. I asked her to pull her magic and let me know what she thought, and Sherpa was in the top five transport companies and were actually the first ones to answer the phone or respond to my call. Joseph was the gentleman that I talked to. He was very professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable with using the company to broker the deal for me. Top Line Auto Service based out of California dropped the car off. The two brothers met me. I had spoken to Joseph on the phone, and figured out what direction they were coming from, which was east from Florida. And based on where I live, I gave them the best place that I thought would be the easiest to pull up an 18-wheeler, and with a truckload of cars, to offload it and meet them to where they could easily get back on the interstate again and go about their day without having to snake through city traffic. We got that place lined up. It was a few miles away from my house. They called me numerous times when they were on the way and got there. The car was dirty, but I expected it to be. It was raining and it was an open truck. But other than that, no damage to the vehicle. The brothers were incredibly friendly and professional people that if I had to use anybody again, I would recommend them and Sherpa. I was very worried throughout the process because I have never purchased a vehicle that I have never seen before, or even driven or heard it idle. They got it to me and it was in good shape. And everything was good. I enjoyed it. Plus they were cool. They had a very exotic, classic car on the truck and they had to offload it to get my car off. They opened the doors and let me peek my head in and take a look at it, and I drooled a bit at how cool the car was. Sherpa`s quote was better than anything that I had received other than ones that were scams. I`ve never done this before. I just signed up online and I was hammered with emails and phone calls from a lot of people that were trying to, “Oh, I`ll beat this price. I`ll do this price.†And I was getting quotes that seemed too good to be true, and they were, because once I went and got my fiancée to do her magic and look these particular companies up, she was like, “Yeah, that`s gonna be a no. Each one of those has terrible reviews and they`re scams.†Because they quoted me 500 bucks, $600, that type of stuff. What Sherpa quoted me wasn`t gonna fluctuate. If it did, they would apply money towards it if need be. It was right on the money. The transport was part of my car purcahsing process that was the fastest, streamlined and very much worth the money that I paid for.”
“I was moving cross-country, so I needed a transport service to ship my vehicle. I looked at four transport companies and I went with Sherpa Auto Transport because of their reviews and their responsiveness when I called them. I enjoyed the fact that the reps answered right away. They got back to me when they said they would and kept me fully informed of how everything was going to work. They were really clear upfront that Sherpa was just the broker or the agency and not the company that was gonna do the transport. They were gonna use a company that they had worked with in the past and this company was gonna transport for them. As soon as they secured this company, they called me immediately to let me know that they had made contact with the company and they were ready to schedule the pickup. This process went smoothly. The quote that was provided by Sherpa was around the same price and within the ballpark of everything else that I was getting. Their quote was reasonable, especially for a covered transport. They put me in touch with the driver and the driver contacted me when he was getting close. I was in an apartment complex so he had to park outside on the main road where there was a parking area, and I brought my car out to them. They had other vehicles and they put mine in all the way up to the front because it was gonna be the last one they would offload. They took care of everything and the transport went really well. The driver was more comfortable speaking in Spanish than in English. Although I would have easily conducted business with him even if I didn`t speak Spanish, it went easier since I did, so my communication with him was good. Sherpa transported my vehicle 3,000 miles from LA to Miami and they were great and easy to work with.”
“I was moving to Seattle and I needed to ship my vehicle, an Audi A4. I looked at around five different transport companies, but Sherpa Auto Transport was recommended by a friend. The quote that was provided to me by Sherpa was reasonable. It was up to the par or quite equal to the other quotes. The customer service at Sherpa went as smoothly as it could. There were a couple of times when the driver was not picking up my calls. I called customer service and they were able to retrieve information from him, like where he was because the driver promised me around three times that he would be there. He may have been so close somewhere, but he didn`t want to take my calls. Also, the delivery was 14 days late and I started with my new company on the same day it came in. He said that he was going in two hours, but I was in an orientation that day and I was not able to get out, so I called up my brother who missed his office for half a day to pick that car up. The driver was very unreasonable. He said that he was going to Oregon the next day and if I didn`t pick up that day, then I might have to pick it up the next week. The car was dirty at the time of delivery and my brother was trying to find many scratches, but the truck driver wanted to go as fast as he could. He said that it was time to go and that if my brother could get the car clean that day, then let him know if there were any scratches. Overall, there was no damage, so that was good. I just didn`t like the transporter, the one who drove the vehicle, but I`ll definitely recommend Sherpa.”
“If you`ve never used a transport company, read this first . . . One thing to know is if you fill out any form online, you will be bombarded with thirty phone calls, texts, and emails — 30 for each. It was non-stop. My fault for not thinking. Next thing to know is that there are many scam artists who will take your money. Nothing against call centers in another country but the manipulating tactics of these “salesman” made me uncomfortable. We had two cars to transport from south florida to San Diego. Our sons are both marines newly stationed in CA and they needed their cars. I spoke to another transport company who quote $2500 per car. When I said I wanted to get other quotes, I was sternly informed that I would not find nothing better. Lol. The way transports work is that your “transport need” gets posted on a “board” where the actual transporters or transport companies will bid on them. They need their transport truck to be filled. Sometimes, if the quote the company you called (which is a middle man, not the transporter) doesn`t get filled, you will get a call from that company asking you for more money to entice. Transporter to take your bid to transport your cars. You will deal with NONE of that with Sherpa Transport. They guarantee the first price quote in writing that you accept. And there is not a single fee or hidden charge after that. I had such a bad experience with the dozens of calls and abusive quotes that I asked the Sherpa agent how this whole thing works. He as honest and explained it all to me. Then he explained they only with with insured vetted transporters. The experience with the transporter was incredible. The dispatcher called me a few days early and communicated with me the name of river and time window. Then the actual driver called me. He was an Angel! He was so kind and friendly. His truck was top notch and IMMACULATE! I knew the cars would be safe. We paid around $1300 each ($2600 total). Considering the insurance costs, gas, cost to maintain those trucks, and time, it was worth every penny. But the peace of mind was out of this world! I had a safe feeling with Sherpa. I spoke to several agents because my first agent was off the next day when I was due to sign. Every person I spoke to was highly respectful and helpful (night and day to the other companies I spoke to). Note that you have 24 hours to take the quote. You won`t have to worry, you are making the best decision. Great job Sherpa! And reward your agents! They are well trained and caring which is hard to find in this day and age”
“Outstanding company! I recently had death in my family and had to get my uncle’s car from Florida to Maryland. The paperwork to change ownership of the car was slow, but Sherpa Auto Transport stayed in touch with me. They called once a week to ensure me that the price we had initially agreed to would still be honored. They were very compassionate about my situation. They said as soon as I told them the car was ready, they would find a driver. Each step of the way, Sherpa Auto Transport followed up with an email. As soon as I told them the paperwork was in order, I got a call and an email within 20 minutes telling me the driver was ready to pick the car up. LMK Logistics showed up 30 minutes later. The driver was very courtesy, and I could tell he had many years of experience with loading and securing vehicles on the truck. My sister got the car within 24 hours telling her that the driver was about 30 minutes away from her home. After the car was delivered, I received another email from Sherpa Auto Transport confirming the delivery of my vehicle and to tell me that I was entitled to a free car wash on them. I have stored the name and number of this company in my phone for future reference. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto Transport to coordinate the move of any of your vehicles. You will not experience a better class of service. Thank you so much for easing my pain due to the death of my uncle. I will be using you and recommending you to others in the future.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in North Miami, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Florida. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
