What our Kissimmee customers say about Sherpa:
“I was moving my vehicle from Florida to Arizona and Sherpa came in with the lower price although it was a different time of the year. The representative certainly wanted to work with me too. He tried to work with my budget and used some good sales strategies to get me to buy. Then when I said I needed to think about it, they’ve got a really great CRM solution which pings you with an email every single day that says, “Here’s why you wanna move your car now.—
“Cheap prices and great service. Also the price is locked in which is important because other companies will lie on the quote and request more money upon delivery and if you don’t pay they’ll charge you storage fees anyway. I`m definitely using this company again.”
“The transport of my vehicle was good. It was from San Diego to Kissimmee, Florida and they took four days.”

When choosing an auto transport company, it is crucial to select the best car shipping company by considering factors such as reliability, customer satisfaction, and transparency in pricing.
Factors that affect Kissimmee Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey from or to Kissimmee, FL plays a significant role in determining car shipping costs. Longer distances typically result in higher prices, but the per-mile rate often decreases for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to or from Kissimmee. Enclosed transport, while offering extra protection, is about 50% more expensive and may take longer. It’s usually reserved for high-value or classic cars.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, typically cost more to ship than standard cars due to the space they occupy on the carrier.
- Seasonal Factors: Kissimmee’s warm climate attracts many visitors, especially during winter. This influx can affect car shipping prices, with rates potentially higher during peak tourist seasons.
- Route Accessibility: Kissimmee’s proximity to major highways like I-4 and Florida’s Turnpike can help keep costs down, as these routes are easily accessible for auto transport carriers.
- Delivery Timeframe: If you need expedited shipping to or from Kissimmee, expect to pay more. Flexible delivery windows often result in more competitive pricing.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles that can be driven onto the carrier are less expensive to ship than inoperable ones requiring special equipment for loading.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping your car to or from Kissimmee, FL. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your car shipment at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles from Kissimmee, FL.
- Choose open transport: Open shipping provides the lowest rates and greatest flexibility for negotiating prices when shipping a car to or from Kissimmee.
- Strategic pickup/dropoff: Consult with Sherpa advisers to find locations near major interstates like I-4 or Florida’s Turnpike. This can significantly reduce fuel costs for carriers, potentially lowering your overall car shipping price.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items to reduce weight and avoid potential liability issues during auto transport.
- Be flexible: Offering date flexibility for pickup and delivery can help you secure better options and potentially lower rates for car shipping services in Kissimmee, FL.
- Consider seasonal timing: Auto transport to and from Kissimmee may be more affordable during off-peak seasons when snowbirds aren’t flocking to Florida. Planning your car shipment during these periods could result in more competitive pricing.

Kissimmee Car Transport: Local Insights and Regulations
When shipping your car to or from Kissimmee, FL, it’s crucial to be aware of local regulations and prepare for your move. Kissimmee car shipping requires attention to detail, especially regarding tolls and vehicle registration. The SunPass is Florida’s prepaid toll program, and while it’s convenient for residents, those moving away should remove their transponders to avoid unexpected charges. For newcomers, consider getting a SunPass for seamless travel on Florida’s toll roads.
Florida requires vehicles to pass a basic safety inspection, but Kissimmee doesn’t have additional local requirements. When registering your vehicle in Florida, you’ll need to visit the Osceola County Tax Collector’s office within 30 days of establishing residency. Bring your out-of-state title, proof of insurance, and identification.
Kissimmee’s subtropical climate means hot, humid summers and mild winters. When using car shipping services, consider the weather impact on your vehicle. Ensure your auto transport company uses enclosed carriers for added protection against sudden Florida thunderstorms.
For a smooth transition, set up utilities before your move. Kissimmee Utility Authority provides electricity and water, while internet options include Spectrum and CenturyLink. Don’t forget to update your address with USPS and register to vote at the Supervisor of Elections office.
If you’re moving away from Kissimmee, remember to cancel local memberships and subscriptions. Notify your car shipping company about any parking restrictions in your current or future neighborhood to ensure a hassle-free pickup or delivery.
Whether you’re shipping a car to enjoy Florida’s theme parks or moving away from the Sunshine State, choosing a reliable car shipping company is essential. Look for a car transport provider familiar with Kissimmee’s unique characteristics and Florida’s regulations to ensure a smooth auto transport experience.
Kissimmee, Florida Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from Kissimmee?
See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for details about how to prepare your vehicle to / from Kissimmee. In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Kissimmee?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Kissimmee?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to Kissimmee?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card at the time a carrier is secured.
We also allow you to pay for your Initial Payment via credit or debit card and then pay the outstanding balance on delivery day via cash or a certified check made out to the carrier.
Can I pack personal items inside my vehicle?
Your Sherpa shipment includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. Sherpa and your assigned carrier cannot be responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle. See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for more details.
Do I need to be present at both pickup and delivery?
Yes. It is important that you, or another adult that you trust, is there for pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.
What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. The primary reason for choosing enclosed auto transport is when you have a high value vehicle like a classic car or a custom paint job that can’t afford the risk of wayward debris on the road. See our open vs enclosed auto transport guide for more details.
Do you offer Door-To-Door Auto Transport Service?
Door-to-door auto transport service is the epitome of convenience in vehicle shipping. At the time of booking your shipment, we will ask for your preferred pickup and delivery address. As long as it is possible, the assigned carrier will pick up and deliver your vehicle to the addresses you specify. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.
How are you different from other Car Shipping Companies?
Many Auto Transport companies try to tease customers with lower rates, only to surprise you with “hidden costs” later. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we do things differently. We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. We can ship both operable and inoperable vehicles so long as the vehicle can roll, brake, and steer, and that you can provide the carrier with a key to the vehicle. We can also ship electric vehicles.

Seasonal Guide to Ship a Car in Kissimmee
When planning car shipping to or from Kissimmee, FL, it’s crucial to consider the unique seasonal factors that can affect your auto transport experience. Kissimmee’s subtropical climate brings hot, humid summers and mild winters, which can impact your car shipping strategy.
During the summer months (June to September), temperatures can soar, making it essential to prepare your vehicle for Kissimmee car shipping. Consider these tips:
- Place a sunshade under your windshield to protect the interior from intense heat.
- Remove any heat-sensitive items from your car to prevent melting or damage.

While winters in Kissimmee are generally mild, occasional cold snaps can occur. When shipping a car during winter:
- Ensure your battery is in good condition to prevent issues in colder temperatures.
- Remove any freeze-sensitive items from your vehicle.
Kissimmee’s location near Orlando makes it a popular tourist destination, which can affect car transport schedules. Keep these factors in mind:
- Peak tourist seasons (summer and holidays) may lead to busier roads and potentially higher shipping costs.
- Consider scheduling your auto transport during off-peak times for more flexibility and potentially lower rates.
- The “snowbird” season (winter months) can increase demand for car shipping services, so book early if possible.
By considering these seasonal factors, you can ensure a smoother car shipping experience to or from Kissimmee, FL. Always consult with your chosen car shipping company for specific advice tailored to your situation and the current season.
Car Shipping for College Students in Kissimmee, Florida
When considering car shipping to Kissimmee, Florida for college, it’s crucial to understand the parking situation at nearby universities. Valencia College and University of Central Florida (UCF) are the closest major institutions to Kissimmee. At Valencia, parking is generally free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. UCF, however, requires students to purchase parking permits. Both schools offer options for long-term parking during breaks. Remember to check your auto insurance and roadside assistance coverage for your new location. While snow tires aren’t necessary in Florida, be prepared for heavy rain and potential hurricanes. If you’re shipping a car to Kissimmee for school, consider timing your auto transport to avoid move-in day crowds. Many off-campus apartments near these universities offer parking, but always confirm before signing a lease. By planning ahead and understanding local parking regulations, you’ll ensure a smooth transition when bringing your vehicle to college in Kissimmee.
Vehicle Shipping for Military Members in Kissimmee, Florida

The state offers special provisions for active duty personnel, including exemptions from certain fees. Whether you’re shipping a car to Kissimmee or need reliable auto transport elsewhere, we’re here to support our military community.
Reviews from our Florida Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Florida customers:
“My fiancée is a wizard when it comes to doing her due diligence and finding the best companies and reading reviews. I asked her to pull her magic and let me know what she thought, and Sherpa was in the top five transport companies and were actually the first ones to answer the phone or respond to my call. Joseph was the gentleman that I talked to. He was very professional and friendly. He made me feel very comfortable with using the company to broker the deal for me. Top Line Auto Service based out of California dropped the car off. The two brothers met me. I had spoken to Joseph on the phone, and figured out what direction they were coming from, which was east from Florida. And based on where I live, I gave them the best place that I thought would be the easiest to pull up an 18-wheeler, and with a truckload of cars, to offload it and meet them to where they could easily get back on the interstate again and go about their day without having to snake through city traffic. We got that place lined up. It was a few miles away from my house. They called me numerous times when they were on the way and got there. The car was dirty, but I expected it to be. It was raining and it was an open truck. But other than that, no damage to the vehicle. The brothers were incredibly friendly and professional people that if I had to use anybody again, I would recommend them and Sherpa. I was very worried throughout the process because I have never purchased a vehicle that I have never seen before, or even driven or heard it idle. They got it to me and it was in good shape. And everything was good. I enjoyed it. Plus they were cool. They had a very exotic, classic car on the truck and they had to offload it to get my car off. They opened the doors and let me peek my head in and take a look at it, and I drooled a bit at how cool the car was. Sherpa`s quote was better than anything that I had received other than ones that were scams. I`ve never done this before. I just signed up online and I was hammered with emails and phone calls from a lot of people that were trying to, “Oh, I`ll beat this price. I`ll do this price.†And I was getting quotes that seemed too good to be true, and they were, because once I went and got my fiancée to do her magic and look these particular companies up, she was like, “Yeah, that`s gonna be a no. Each one of those has terrible reviews and they`re scams.†Because they quoted me 500 bucks, $600, that type of stuff. What Sherpa quoted me wasn`t gonna fluctuate. If it did, they would apply money towards it if need be. It was right on the money. The transport was part of my car purcahsing process that was the fastest, streamlined and very much worth the money that I paid for.”
“First time to ship an automobile in my life. Looking for excellent rating from BBB. Took a while to research because I want a reliable, honest company. Found Sherpa with A+ rating. Talked to a guy name Shane. Made me feel very relax because He is too friendly, courteous, well experience and very confident which made me feel comfortable during transaction. It didn’t take me too long to get my date I wanted to sent my car from Crestview, Florida to Denver Colorado. I gave Shane the date May 23rd I asked for and the driver arrived on that day I asked for. The dispatcher from the company assigned for me were incredible, the lady dispatcher were on top of informing me on date when the driver will come to pick my car. Also I’ve been receiving email from Sherpa information about facts what to expect during the time I will get the car till it arrived to my son`s place. The drivers they hired were so experienced and courteous as well as the dispatcher. I asked the driver if I can put a little gift to my daughter in the trunk and it arrived safely. It took only 2 days to reach the destination as stated by Shane and the sweet drivers. Shane said the price of my shipment is about $1,550 and because I am in military dependent I think I got $50.00 dollars refund. I would say that this Sherpa company is really true, honest to what they say, no hidden fees when my son paid the rest I owed to them, they even offered 20.00 dollars free washing that I did not expect but I just didn’t use it cuz I prefer my son to wash it???? I am real customer not hired phony one. Just like anybody out there who is afraid to be rip off or have bad experience from auto shipping I would gladly says that I am fortunate, blessed to find an excellent service and right freight company to transport my car. My car is one of the investment I need to make sure being taken care of and arrive safely and no damage and with the price I got is equal to peace of mind I got after knowing it took only 2 days and it was received by my son safely with no damage and the company they hire are also well experience. Ask for Shane the guy who do transaction with me. He`s really nice, sweet person. Thank you and God Bless for job well done. I highly recommend them as a broker company. They do excellent job????”
“The initial quote was more than reasonable given the short turnaround time that I needed. In my uncle`s shipping, Sherpa had to use their guaranteed thing. It`s $300 give or take once they issued the quote to the customer. I contacted them on a Thursday or Friday of the week before and they went through the weekend and they let me know that they would be closing down Saturday evening. My uncle was a little worried and I told him that the people have to have downtime and we`d hear from them by Sunday evening. Sure enough, around 7:00 in the evening, an email came across saying that they were still working on getting the driver. Having dealt with car transport before, they`re all on the same leaderboard. Once the car description is put in, everybody`s looking at it and they know exactly who`s been selected and it doesn`t pay to jump around. The pickup was in a rural part of Florida and I was concerned that it was off of a major highway. But that didn`t make a difference. Once they made their commitment that they would pick up the car around 4:00 on that Wednesday, they were there on point. We were able to put a few boxes in the car that I would have had to pay UPS or ship my uncle`s personal things. But I made sure that there was no obstruction of view and the front seat was completely clear of anything. They exceeded the expectations in terms of delivery. We weren`t expecting it until Saturday or Sunday. But they were there before 4:00 on that Friday, which would have been the 27th of August. When they called me, I was at the gas station in Orlando. My uncle was at his home in Live Oak. Once the guy told me what the deposit was going to be because that had changed, I said, “Give me five minutes to call my uncle and let him know that you`re going to be calling him and give him your name because he`ll be giving you his financial information for payment.” He did that and he had cash available to pay them when the car dropped. Also, my uncle placed the Bible on the dash of his vehicle and he told me that the service was so good that the Bible was in the exact same spot when the car arrived. They took pictures and there were no scratches, no dents, and no oil leaks from other cars. They couldn`t have made my uncle happier. Sherpa would be number one on my list without a question and I would recommend them.”
“Outstanding company! I recently had death in my family and had to get my uncle’s car from Florida to Maryland. The paperwork to change ownership of the car was slow, but Sherpa Auto Transport stayed in touch with me. They called once a week to ensure me that the price we had initially agreed to would still be honored. They were very compassionate about my situation. They said as soon as I told them the car was ready, they would find a driver. Each step of the way, Sherpa Auto Transport followed up with an email. As soon as I told them the paperwork was in order, I got a call and an email within 20 minutes telling me the driver was ready to pick the car up. LMK Logistics showed up 30 minutes later. The driver was very courtesy, and I could tell he had many years of experience with loading and securing vehicles on the truck. My sister got the car within 24 hours telling her that the driver was about 30 minutes away from her home. After the car was delivered, I received another email from Sherpa Auto Transport confirming the delivery of my vehicle and to tell me that I was entitled to a free car wash on them. I have stored the name and number of this company in my phone for future reference. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto Transport to coordinate the move of any of your vehicles. You will not experience a better class of service. Thank you so much for easing my pain due to the death of my uncle. I will be using you and recommending you to others in the future.”
“Just used them to transport my mom`s old 1993 Del Sol from Inverness, FL to Pittsburgh, PA. Created the request on Sat 7 Oct. Same day I received confirmation of the booking and price (lower than the other companies I contacted). Received an email on Sun 8 Oct that they were still searching for a driver. On Mon 9 Oct, I received an email indicating a driver was located. At 3 PM I received a call informing me the driver would like to pick up at 6 PM the same day. Wow that was quick. Driver arrived at 6:40 pm on Mon 9 Oct – first working day after my initial contact. The driver did call me directly to confirm the person she was to obtain the car from – my sister. Since the truck was so large and my Pittsburgh location is down narrow streets, I decided to change the delivery location to a barely used strip mall directly off the interstate. On Tue at 9:10 AM I texted the new location to my Sherpa contact. My Sherpa contact agreed and indicated the car should be delivered the same day. The driver did call me, 30 minutes before she expected to arrive at the strip mall parking lot. Wow by 6:30 PM on Tue 10 Oct the car was delivered in perfect condition. Seriously it could not have been easier or better service delivered. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto Transport!!!!”

Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Kissimmee, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Florida. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
