What our Daytona Beach customers say about Sherpa:
“Very impressed from day 1 – Sherpa phone agents awesome – I had a vehicle transaction delay that threw the shipping plan off schedule and Sherpa team handled it like pros – when I had vehicle pick up clearance Sherpa picked up right where we left off. Austin and Crimson were both super professional and informative. I was counting on Sherpa to deliver as promised and they did it all 100%!”
“Sherpa is the greatest ever. I had them move my automobile from Florida to Connecticut. The customer service team was wonderful. They informed me, kept informing me of what was going on and approximately when it would be picked up. I can’t say enough good about them. The driver was also wonderful.”
“They did a great job. They came and delivered on time. It went very smoothly. $800 was a lot of money, but the service was definitely high quality.”

Factors that affect Daytona Beach Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The distance between pickup and drop-off locations significantly impacts car shipping costs to and from Daytona Beach, FL. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but the cost per mile typically decreases for longer trips.
- Trailer Type: Open trailers are the most common and cost-effective option for car shipping to Daytona Beach. Enclosed trailers offer extra protection from Florida’s intense sun and occasional storms but cost about 50% more and may have longer delivery times.
- Vehicle Size: Larger or heavier vehicles, such as SUVs or trucks, cost more to ship to Daytona Beach due to the space they occupy and their weight. Compact cars are generally less expensive to transport.
- Time of Year: Auto transport to Daytona Beach can be pricier during peak seasons like spring break or major events like the Daytona 500. Summer months also tend to have higher rates due to increased demand.
- Route Accessibility: Daytona Beach’s location near I-95 and I-4 makes it relatively accessible for car carriers, potentially lowering costs. However, shipping to areas further from these major highways may incur additional fees.
- Fuel Prices: Fluctuations in fuel costs can affect car shipping prices to Daytona Beach. When gas prices rise, transport companies may adjust their rates accordingly.
- Vehicle Condition: Inoperable vehicles cost more to ship to Daytona Beach as they require special equipment for loading and unloading. Ensuring your car is in running condition can help reduce shipping costs.
Understanding these factors can help you estimate the cost of shipping your car to or from Daytona Beach, FL. - Select convenient locations: Work with Sherpa advisors to find pickup and dropoff points near major interstates like I-95 or I-4, which run through Daytona Beach. This can significantly reduce fuel costs for carriers.
- Empty your vehicle: Remove personal items to reduce weight and avoid potential liability issues during transport.
- Be flexible with dates: Offering a range of pickup and delivery dates can help you secure better options and potentially lower costs for your car shipping needs.

Daytona Beach, Florida Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from Daytona Beach?
See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for details about how to prepare your vehicle to / from Daytona Beach. In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Daytona Beach?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Daytona Beach?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to Daytona Beach?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card at the time a carrier is secured.
We also allow you to pay for your Initial Payment via credit or debit card and then pay the outstanding balance on delivery day via cash or a certified check made out to the carrier.

Yes. It is important that you, or another adult that you trust, is there for pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.
What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.
How are you different from other Car Shipping Companies?

We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. Reviews from our Florida Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Florida customers:
“At two different times, I spoke to two people who were both very helpful and knowledgeable. Price-wise, Sherpa Auto Transport was the same as everyone. They were all within the same ballpark of each other. But I felt they were more comfortable after speaking to them. Also, I could see why they had the reviews because they were exactly like it was when talking to them. And everything was smooth. They offered a free car wash. Everything was wonderful. I submitted the thing through online, and they sent an email back with the quote. It was a day later, they called to go over a couple of things. I`m in South Florida and the car would go to Boston, and the tires in Florida were not the type of tires I need for winter up north. So, that would cause a delay because we had to wait for the tires to come in. She said, “No problem. I`ll make a note in the system so we can still hold on to the quote we gave you and you don`t lose the price. And as soon as you know when the tires will be in and when you can do this, just let us know.” Once I knew when the tires would be done, I called them back. She guided me on what window to take for pick-up, so it would be there when my daughter got there. She helped me with figuring what would be the best dates for everything. And while I was on the phone with her, she sent me an email which I had to click on and pay the deposit, and she stayed on the phone with me while the whole thing went through to make sure they got it. There were no glitches in their system or on my end. Within a day, she sent me the name of the company that would take the car, gave me all their contact information if I needed anything from them. The pick-up went very well. It was not the driver`s fault that it was pouring rain. I felt bad. Those things happen. In that type of business, it`s not like an airplane where people know what time they would arrive and depart. The driver would get stuck based on whoever is in front of him. He thought he would be there between 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning, and it wound up being more 2 o`clock in the afternoon. I knew he couldn`t get into my neighborhood. So, the company gave me the driver`s direct phone number so I could pre-arrange a pick-up where he could get the truck and be able to get the car. So, between the weather and the rain, it delayed him. The pick-up wound being later than expected. The drop-off, again, was not his fault, the car that was dropped off before us gave the wrong address and did not answer their phone. It was my brother-in-law that handled that and they agreed it would be too dark by the time the driver would be able to bring the car. So, they said they would do it first thing in the morning and they were there at 7:30 with the car.”
“If you`ve never used a transport company, read this first . . . One thing to know is if you fill out any form online, you will be bombarded with thirty phone calls, texts, and emails — 30 for each. It was non-stop. My fault for not thinking. Next thing to know is that there are many scam artists who will take your money. Nothing against call centers in another country but the manipulating tactics of these “salesman” made me uncomfortable. We had two cars to transport from south florida to San Diego. Our sons are both marines newly stationed in CA and they needed their cars. I spoke to another transport company who quote $2500 per car. When I said I wanted to get other quotes, I was sternly informed that I would not find nothing better. Lol. The way transports work is that your “transport need” gets posted on a “board” where the actual transporters or transport companies will bid on them. They need their transport truck to be filled. Sometimes, if the quote the company you called (which is a middle man, not the transporter) doesn`t get filled, you will get a call from that company asking you for more money to entice. Transporter to take your bid to transport your cars. You will deal with NONE of that with Sherpa Transport. They guarantee the first price quote in writing that you accept. And there is not a single fee or hidden charge after that. I had such a bad experience with the dozens of calls and abusive quotes that I asked the Sherpa agent how this whole thing works. He as honest and explained it all to me. Then he explained they only with with insured vetted transporters. The experience with the transporter was incredible. The dispatcher called me a few days early and communicated with me the name of river and time window. Then the actual driver called me. He was an Angel! He was so kind and friendly. His truck was top notch and IMMACULATE! I knew the cars would be safe. We paid around $1300 each ($2600 total). Considering the insurance costs, gas, cost to maintain those trucks, and time, it was worth every penny. But the peace of mind was out of this world! I had a safe feeling with Sherpa. I spoke to several agents because my first agent was off the next day when I was due to sign. Every person I spoke to was highly respectful and helpful (night and day to the other companies I spoke to). Note that you have 24 hours to take the quote. You won`t have to worry, you are making the best decision. Great job Sherpa! And reward your agents! They are well trained and caring which is hard to find in this day and age”
“The turnaround time between when I said go, Sherpa picking up the vehicle, and then them actually shipping it to El Paso was phenomenal. The guys that Sherpa used found more defects with the vehicle than I ever saw on it. They were extremely thorough. Then they called me the day prior to the delivery and gave me a window of when I could expect to get the vehicle. Even in the enclosed trailer, it was still strapped down. They did everything like they were supposed to. I received the vehicle, and I had no doubts on my mind that it wasn`t taken care of. The coordinator was very professional. She listened to me. She was the one who recommended the delay. She offered me the service that best suited my needs. Paying for the service was easy. Originally, it was supposed to be a check or money order. But I didn`t want to go through all that trouble of doing that. So Sherpa offered credit card payments. The next time I move and if I am unable to find an enclosed trailer for myself, I`m definitely gonna utilize Sherpa again.”
“I arranged for shipping my daughter`s vehicle from Florida to California. When I called Sherpa`s 800 number the process was fully explained, which was important to me as it was the first time I ever shipped a car. The car was picked up a day or two outside of the originally scheduled window but that was OK with me — Sherpa kept me constantly informed of the situation. The driver of the transport was very professional and took great care in loading the vehicle. The car actually arrived across the country ahead of the promised window, so the end-to-end process was timely. Also, I was able to use a credit card for payment for a $100 charge, which Sherpa promised to rebate back to me within 30 days of completion of the shipment and by mailing in a copy of the bill of lading. I received my rebate card today, about two weeks after mailing in the paperwork, so it was a promise kept on a timely basis. I would definitely call Sherpa again should the need to ship a vehicle arise.”
“Just used them to transport my mom`s old 1993 Del Sol from Inverness, FL to Pittsburgh, PA. Created the request on Sat 7 Oct. Same day I received confirmation of the booking and price (lower than the other companies I contacted). Received an email on Sun 8 Oct that they were still searching for a driver. On Mon 9 Oct, I received an email indicating a driver was located. At 3 PM I received a call informing me the driver would like to pick up at 6 PM the same day. Wow that was quick. Driver arrived at 6:40 pm on Mon 9 Oct – first working day after my initial contact. The driver did call me directly to confirm the person she was to obtain the car from – my sister. Since the truck was so large and my Pittsburgh location is down narrow streets, I decided to change the delivery location to a barely used strip mall directly off the interstate. On Tue at 9:10 AM I texted the new location to my Sherpa contact. My Sherpa contact agreed and indicated the car should be delivered the same day. The driver did call me, 30 minutes before she expected to arrive at the strip mall parking lot. Wow by 6:30 PM on Tue 10 Oct the car was delivered in perfect condition. Seriously it could not have been easier or better service delivered. I highly recommend Sherpa Auto Transport!!!!”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Daytona Beach, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Florida. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
