What our Apache Junction customers say about Sherpa:
“Sherpa was quick to find a carrier to transport our truck. They were local, and they gave me the driver’s information. It worked out really great because his business was not far from my home. We were able to take the vehicle to him, which made it great. The whole process was good. They communicated well. They were friendly, courteous, and professional on the phone. The driver that they contracted for us communicated when there was an issue, called immediately, and told us what was happening. I’m thankful I found Sherpa because I would’ve been lost without it.”
“It was such a struggle for me to figure out which transport company to choose. I did so much research, read so many horror stories and I couldn`t bear the thought of being amongst the many disappointed persons who felt blindsided by original quotes or by unfulfilled promises from many other transport companies that look for your business. So what I decided on doing was going with my gut and trusting the search I did on the Top 10 best auto transport companies out there…and I went with #1 SHERPA TRANSPORT. I can`t express enough how well informed they were with me..their eagerness to reassure me and their following through with my expectations. My vehicle arrived intact…I was blessed that Sherpa Auto contracted a wonderful carrier…the driver contacted me and arrived on a timely manner and very professional. So all you nervous wrecks out there who question what to do…take it from me ..my satisfaction was 1000% positive!! Thanks Sherpa for your diligence and honesty. By the way, in case you`re wondering I transported a 2014 Ford Focus SE with only 29,000 miles from New York to Pheonix Arizona. My son`s first car while he`s training to become a commercial airline pilot!!”
“A dear friend of ours was T-boned in an accident that was not her fault. She lost her 2004 car and was seriously injured. She ended up with NO CAR and having to go to so many medical appointments afterward. She lives in Illinois and we`re in Arizona. We had a 2013 KIA Sorrento and in our 70`s, and we didn`t need two cars. So, it was sitting. We decided to try and get it to her. We took Sherpa because I have a great love of the Tibetan culture. Patrick, our broker, was wonderful, detailed and sincere. We felt the price to transport it was fair to all.”

Factors that affect Apache Junction Car Shipping Prices
- Distance: The length of the journey significantly impacts car shipping costs to or from Apache Junction, AZ. Longer distances generally mean higher prices, but the cost per mile typically decreases for longer trips.
- Transport Type: Open carriers are the most common and affordable option for auto transport to Apache Junction. Enclosed trailers offer extra protection but cost about 50% more and may have longer delivery times.
- Location Accessibility: Apache Junction’s proximity to major highways like US-60 and AZ-88 can help reduce shipping costs. Urban areas are generally cheaper to ship to than rural locations.
- Seasonal Factors: Apache Junction’s hot summers can affect car shipping prices. Peak seasons, like summer and January, often see higher rates due to increased demand.
- Vehicle Size and Weight: Larger or heavier vehicles cost more to ship. The dimensions and weight of your car directly impact the transport cost.
- Vehicle Condition: Operable vehicles are cheaper to ship. Non-running cars require special equipment for loading, increasing the cost.
- Pickup Flexibility: A wider pickup window often results in lower prices. Expedited or specific date pickups typically cost more.
Understanding these factors can help you make informed decisions when shipping your car to or from Apache Junction, AZ. Tips & Tricks for Saving on Vehicle Shipping
- Book early: Schedule your Apache Junction car shipping at least two weeks in advance. This allows carriers to optimize routes and potentially offer discounts for bundling multiple vehicles.
- Choose open transport: Opt for open shipping to get the lowest rates. While enclosed carriers are necessary for some vehicles, open transport offers more flexibility and cost-saving opportunities.
- Pick strategic locations: Consult with Sherpa Auto Transport advisors to find pickup and dropoff points near major highways like US-60 or AZ-88. This can significantly reduce fuel costs and overall shipping expenses.
- Remove personal items: Empty your vehicle before shipping. Car shipping companies aren’t responsible for personal belongings, and extra weight can increase costs.
- Be flexible with dates: The more flexible you are with pickup and delivery dates, the better options you’ll have. This flexibility can lead to substantial savings on your Apache Junction auto transport.
- Consider terminal-nearby locations: While Sherpa doesn’t offer terminal-to-terminal services, choosing locations near transport hubs can sometimes reduce costs. Discuss options with your Sherpa advisor.
- Trust Sherpa’s Price Lock Promise: While shopping around is common, remember that Sherpa’s quotes are realistic and backed by our Price Lock Promise. We ensure transparency and reliability in our car shipping services.

Apache Junction, Arizona Vehicle Transport FAQs
How do I prepare my vehicle for transit to or from Apache Junction?
See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for details about how to prepare your vehicle to / from Apache Junction. In short, you’ll want to remove any toll pass or fragile items, make sure you have a key available to provide the carrier, and remove any interior and exterior accessories that could be damaged in transit.
Is my vehicle insured transporting to or from Apache Junction?
Yes, our quotes are all-inclusive. All of our carriers are required to have a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. To ship your vehicle, we verify that the carrier’s insurance policy is valid and in good standing for the duration of your shipment.
All contracted carriers also add Sherpa as a Certificate Holder on their insurance policy.
How far out should I schedule my pickup service from Apache Junction?
The sooner, the better. We recommend at least two weeks, but it’s ideal to post your shipment as soon as possible so that carriers can bundle your shipment with others in the same location.
How do I pay for my auto transport to Apache Junction?
No payment is due at the time of booking. We do require a payment method on file so that it is available to charge once a carrier is secured. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express. The most convenient option is to pay for your shipment in full by credit card at the time a carrier is secured.
We also allow you to pay for your Initial Payment via credit or debit card and then pay the outstanding balance on delivery day via cash or a certified check made out to the carrier.
Can I pack personal items inside my vehicle?
Your Sherpa shipment includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. Sherpa and your assigned carrier cannot be responsible for personal items left inside the vehicle. See our Vehicle Shipping Tips for more details.
Do I need to be present at both pickup and delivery?
Yes. It is important that you, or another adult that you trust, is there for pickup and delivery of your vehicle. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.
What’s the difference between Open vs Enclosed Auto Transport?
Enclosed transport is at least 50% higher than open trailers. The primary reason for choosing enclosed auto transport is when you have a high value vehicle like a classic car or a custom paint job that can’t afford the risk of wayward debris on the road. See our open vs enclosed auto transport guide for more details.
Do you offer Door-To-Door Auto Transport Service?
Door-to-door auto transport service is the epitome of convenience in vehicle shipping. At the time of booking your shipment, we will ask for your preferred pickup and delivery address. As long as it is possible, the assigned carrier will pick up and deliver your vehicle to the addresses you specify. Of course, if there are transportation restrictions or safety challenges the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternative location, such as a nearby gas station or parking lot.
How are you different from other Car Shipping Companies?
Many Auto Transport companies try to tease customers with lower rates, only to surprise you with “hidden costs” later. At Sherpa Auto Transport, we do things differently. We provide one locked-in price upfront and stick to it. If unexpected costs arise, we pay them out of our own pocket. While we may not always be the cheapest option at first glance, our commitment to transparency and reliability offers exceptional value. As a premium service, we ensure an stress-free experience from start to finish.
What types of vehicles can you transport?
We transport sedans, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans and motorcycles across the nation, including service to Alaska and Hawaii. At this time, we do not service boats, golf carts, ATVs, or RVs. We can ship both operable and inoperable vehicles so long as the vehicle can roll, brake, and steer, and that you can provide the carrier with a key to the vehicle. We can also ship electric vehicles.

Reviews from our Arizona Customers
We pride ourselves on excellent customer service, as evidenced by our 4.9 rating with over 8,000 reviews. Here are a few more reviews from satisfied Arizona customers:
“Sherpa was quick to find a carrier to transport our truck. They were local, and they gave me the driver’s information. It worked out really great because his business was not far from my home. We were able to take the vehicle to him, which made it great. The whole process was good. They communicated well. They were friendly, courteous, and professional on the phone. The driver that they contracted for us communicated when there was an issue, called immediately, and told us what was happening. I’m thankful I found Sherpa because I would’ve been lost without it.”
“We thought we’d transport a car. I was scared to death of the idea. I read all the horror stories – cars falling off trucks, cars coming full of mud, dents, whatever. I researched the heck out of it. I went through 15 transports, and read their stuff online. Sherpa’s presentation online was good. It was convincing. It was humble in the sense of the reality of the whole car transport business. The fact that you’re not dealing initially with the driver, you’re dealing with a broker. Most people are not familiar with doing this and don’t understand the difference between a trucker and a broker. That’s the scary part. And that’s what Sherpa covered so well. And in service, I never had to sit on hold with them if I had a question. It was the same with talking to the truckers. They were very cool and sharp, and they did the job. The car was picked up exactly where and when we expected. The two young drivers were neat. They shuffled the cars around to get them in the order they needed them. We watched them do it very carefully in moving cars in and out. And off they went. It disappeared in Phoenix, Arizona. Our family members were here already in Michigan when the car arrived. It arrived at exactly the right time. A family of ours picked the car up. The driver called ahead, said, ‘Here’s when we expect to be there.’ Rolled the car off the truck. And with the most thorough examination, it was obvious the car suffered no damage, no dents. It was no worse for wear at all.”
“The experience with Sherpa was wonderful. We contacted different auto transport companies. Sherpa answered a bunch of questions I had that other people couldn’t answer. They were competitive in their pricing too. It was less than I thought it was going to be. When you look at the bad reviews of different companies, you always find out that it’s a bait-and-switch price thing. It scares you a little bit. But Sherpa’s price guarantee alleviated a lot of that. Within a half hour of agreeing with Sherpa, they had a driver assigned. The driver called me up the day before. He told me he was likely to make it out the next morning, but there was a chance he would be there that night and asked if that would be a problem. I told him it wouldn’t be. They picked up the car earlier than we had expected. But we were prepared to do it. The driver was pleasant. He was able to communicate and got the car off the truck. The car came three days before it was anticipated. The driver called the day before to let me know and pinpointed a time. Around that time, he called me up and asked if I could meet him at his location which I did. The car came off perfectly. I’m very happy with their services. When you read about these types of companies that are middlemen like Sherpa, it’s a scary process ’cause you hear all kinds of horror stories. But Sherpa was able to relax me, calm me down, and had a flawless pick-up and delivery. The group that Sherpa contracted with was a company called Umbrella. Through emails and communications with both Umbrella and Sherpa, I had the driver’s contact information the whole time. I was clearly led through perfectly. They allowed us extra weight in the car, but we didn’t need any of it. I was floored with how well things went, especially when you consider the weather patterns that were going through East Coast and through the Midwest in early January. Instead of taking the north route, they took the south route through Texas and Arizona.”
“Despite the horror stories you can find online I have found that auto shipping is generally reliable if you do your research and don’t go just for price. I have shipped three times now, two times across country and the service was good with the other carrier, Sherpa was excellent. The online process is easy and professional for the industry. The paperwork and disclosures were all straight forward and timely. Everything is straight to email. One slight difference is you pay for shipping in two parts and the second part did not offer a credit card option. The shipper S&N Trucking was A+++ fantastic. I was very happy with his profesionalism and communication through out the job. He navigated far more precisely than I’ve seen before and never kept me waiting. During my shipment a bad weather pattern started across the states causing a 50 car pile up around Arizona. This driver was monitoring weather constantly, and was able to navigate past the accident that stopped our house movers by 3 days. Just an aside, I was extremely stressed and appreciated Will in dispatch patience. I was trying to make a flight and did not anticipate the trouble we would have getting a truck to drive to our small town, but Will did not give up till we found a solution. We were going through a tough time with this move and sustained a big hit when our house movers got into a wreck. I was nervous to ship cars in bad weather already, but then when I couldn’t find a truck I got panicky. I felt safe with the drivers experience immediately and Will finding a solution made a difference. When you work in customer service you never know when a small kindness will make a big impact on a strangers life. Thanks, Shaunna”
“I read the Better Business Bureau reports and Sherpa was at the top. I’m a senior, so I looked at a few senior sites and Sherpa was recommended by one of the sites that I looked at. I called them and they were pretty straightforward. They weren’t the lowest price but they had a promised guarantee stating that it would only be a certain price and they guaranteed $300 over. I have a Kia and I was having it transported from Southern Arizona to Sebring, Florida. What Sherpa does is they put the bid out and different transport companies then bid on that. I had a gentleman from Miami who was making the trip back and forth and he called me. I was under the impression I would get a 24 to 48-hour notice. He was very professional when he showed up and he delivered my car safely. But he only gave me half hour notice on my end before he wanted to get the car. The car was picked up on a Tuesday morning and it was delivered on Friday. I was still in Arizona. My daughter-in-law and son were having the car delivered. The gentleman texted me Thursday night and said, ‘Let them know that I’ll be there first thing in the morning.’ It was already midnight in Florida so they didn’t get the message. In the end, it all worked out fine despite the transport guy not quite meeting the expectations that Sherpa said I would get from a carrier. The car was delivered exactly as they said it would be. It made it fine. I was promised upfront by Sherpa a free car wash but my car was clean, so I didn’t use the car wash. I was very happy.”

What is Car Shipping?
Car shipping, also known as auto transport or vehicle transport, is a specialized service provided by car shipping companies to move vehicles from one location to another. Whether you’re buying or selling a car online, relocating to a new home in Apache Junction, or needing to transport a vehicle abroad, car shipping companies have the expertise and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently. These companies use specialized carriers and trailers to ensure your vehicle is transported securely, giving you peace of mind throughout the process.
About the Car Shipping Industry
Car shipping is a fascinating industry. There are Carriers – the businesses that pickup and transport vehicles – and there are Brokers – the businesses that help Carriers source their customers. Carriers are primarily mom & pop small businesses who own and operate their trucks and trailers – many of whom own and operate their businesses out of Arizona. This means there are thousands of carriers and this fragmentation creates a need for centralization. That’s why Carriers rely on Brokers – like Sherpa – to help optimize their loads and source business for them. Sherpa vets Carriers and has a strict list of requirements for any Carrier looking to do business with Sherpa Auto Transport.
